I received my 3DHS Extra on Friday night. The build went very quickly and pretty much word for word by the book. I finished in about 8hrs. would have only taken 4hrs if I had not have been playing so much.

The plane came Triple boxed... Which was good since two of the corners had shipping damage. Not one bent corner of the original box was dinged up at all.

I got my maiden flight in today... well actually the first seven flights have been logged. I couldn't charge the batts up fast enough.

My maiden flight went well in about 10MPH winds. She really floats in the wind, I had to coax it in with some birdfeed when it was time to land.

I spent the next 4 flights really dialing in the Expo and throws. I originally set the Expo by the manual. Which I found pretty high on the Expo and a little low on the rates for my taste. I ended up with about -30% Expo on all the surfaces and have all the throws maxed out on high rates and by the book for Mid rates.(suggested high rates)

I am still adjusting to the size of this plane. It is a totally new world from the Typhoon. She reacts a little slower but much more stable. I have had a hard time getting it to hover well. My inputs seem a little late... Just need to get the rythem of the throws down a little more. My last three flights all seemed much better. Once I got the Expo down to where I like it.

A few concerns on this plane are:

1; The landing Gear. They are all CF and have fiberglass wheel pants....Continue Reading

Have been flying my Parkzone foamies for around 3 months now. I have a lot of flights on them and have loved every minute!

But my Styker is in dire need of a new motor and Fuse and my Typhoon is pretty much... well junk.

So I just ordered a new 3DHS Extra!!

I thought I would never buy a balsa plane again but the parkzone Foamies have really boosted my confidence in flying.

More to come soon!!!

Have Fun!

Been flying pretty seriously now for about a year. The electric heli's really got me me back into RC flight after Nitro left me a little sticky.

So through the winter, watching my T-rex collect dust I itched for something to fly. Heli's just require to precise of movements for me in the cold weather up here. So I bought a Parkzone Typhoon Plug-n-play. This thing is a real joy to fly. I never thought I would have this much fun with planes.

Here's a little Phoon flyin

I was having sooo much fun I decided to get a Parkzone Stryker Plug-n-Play since I have all the batteries and RX's I need and no electric motors or ESC's these plug-n-play's are just sweet!

Let me say that the StrykerC is a very nice plane out of the box. I never thought a 3 channel plane could be worth flying. But this wing takes 20MPH winds and tracks like a champ. She is pretty quick with the stock motor and ESC.

Here is the first Stryker video I have put together. It's not great but it is pretty hard to keep up with my flying and the speed of this bird.

I am very please with parkzone so far. No complaints. I wonder if my Heli will ever come back off of the shelf?

Have Fun!

I got her back off the ground today at work. couldn't wait to get home and hover with some more room.

Started raining a little while ago so there went the hover practice
for the night... ...yea right.

I pushed the tabel out of the way and got about a 10x12 space clear.

Just went through a full pack about 1.5-2ft off the ground. started feeling better.
That's flight #2!! with no damage.

I have been flying Forward Figure 8's for about a week now.

Today I started trying side in figure 8's. Man that is a whole new challenge.

side in then reverse. other side and reverse.

I think I have a long way to go as far as pattern flying goes.

I expect to have my VNR3D going this week though.

I can't wait.

The VNR3D was my first Heli and I only have three tries at flying it.

Crashed twice in three battery packs. Hopefully the BCX is preparing me a little more.

Updates to come.
