Bangood.com had a sale on and I saw that they had many items for a very silly price due to clearance. The BR0705 instantly caught my eyes as I wanted a small flyer that I could fly in the garden . So amongst other things in the sale I picked up a Apiary 1s Pepperfish clone ESC, a Realacc Astro65 65mm frame suitable for 070x motors and five (one spare) 0705 10000kv motors as the 15000kv were sold out.

I had a spare Bwhoop Pro board that I'd bought for a few quid recently that I would use as the FC.

Not a comprehensive review...

I break a lot of frames. I'm good at it, really good at it. So I needed to replace a 100mm frame for 8.5mm 2S motors and other than making another bamboo frame I searched Aliexpress for a cheap deal. I chanced upon this ultra cheap carbon frame https://www.aliexpress.com/item/JMT-...311.0.0.X4n4Wq for 2.31. With it being so cheap, if I broke it, I wouldn't be bothered. There were no specs and dimensions, and after doing some rigorous searching on the net for a reviews (finding zero), it was with me within two weeks.

So essentially, the frame is not assembled upon arrival which means constructing it. The 2mm thickness frame sections I guess are supposed to be easy to put together with minimal fuss. This was not the case. As with these products the dimensions and the way they are cut mean that everything is a tight fit, so much so that none of it actually fits. You'll need to grind down the interconnecting parts with a file while trying to minimize carbon fibre dust (which is harmful to your lungs). Best doing this by making the carbon fibre damp and not using a dremel which flings dust into the air.

After much fiddling and filing, I managed to get it into a frame and weighed it with the grommets. It came up a rosy 11 grams. A bit heavy in my opinion but it's 2mm thickness and was going to use 2s motors. The immediate thing I noticed after putting it together was the arms and and the cut out sections. Clearly, this is going to be a weakness......Continue Reading

So, after purchasing a CX-10c as a christmas present for my father-in-law and then being shown a video of some FPV flying from an advert my friend shot, I thought "hey, that looks like fun!" There I was, a complete noob, looking for a way to get into this drone flying malarkey without any idea where I wanted to go. "Well, I don't want to be doing all those camera fly-bys, looks a bit sedate. How about that one where I pretend to be in the cockpit like the film Innerspace? Wossit called? FPS? Yes, defo called first person shooting quad flying."

So after failing miserably with a Google FPS quad flying search I looked up drones for beginners. Beginner list after beginner list, the same model always popped up; the CX-10. This wasn't going as I had planned. The search continued into the early hours of the morning and then I happened across the Hubsan X4 H107D+. "This looks like the ticket. Wow, it has altitude control. Nah, I'm too expert for that, I've owned one of those RC micro helicopters, I'll be killing it!" With that incredible reasoning I found a good deal for the less equipped H107D at a pricely 78.99 from a chinese site; "Banggood? *Beavis and Butthead laugh* Bang. Good". Infinite LOLs continued in my head.

Anyway, after a couple of weeks of running to the door like an excitable puppy every morning , waiting for the postman to arrive with my goods, Banggood came good. In a big white box adorned with a very professional looking...Continue Reading
