Ok, Pixhawk showed up. So, decided to install it. Mounted it, and started the programming. Steep learning curve with this. Still have to find a place to mount the X8R, and figure out what to do with the antennas. Till next time.

Ok, new radio showed up today. So got the 650 off the wall and did a few things. Got the canopy mounted, just need to trim front supports. Bound the receiver and set up all the modes. Thinking I'll give it a test flight with the Omnibus F4 Pro. Pixhawk set not here yet, should be any day now. Kinda excited/nervous to see how this will fly.

Canopy and GPS mount is here, radio still on the slow boat from China. Also have a Pixhawk set up on the way. Might as well do it the right way the first time. More wait time. With all the snow and cold outside, will be a while before I can fly it anyways. Will post more when closer to done.

More progress on my Ironman 650. Motors leveled and wires up, ESC calibrated, Omnibus F4 Pro mounted, FPV camera installed and wired, GPS puck wired, and XSR receiver all wired in. Still waiting on canopy, VTX, and GPS mart.

Started on my Ironman 650. Need to figure out what flight system and how to mount it. Leaning towards an Omnibus F4 Pro with Inav, as I have one just begging to be installed in something. Progress so far.

Looks like Sandy Claws thought I was a good boy this year. He left me a Tarot Ironman 650 under the tree, along with motors, props, and a few other build parts. Rumor has it a Taranis Q X7 is on the way to go with it. Haven't decided on a flight controller yet, or receiver. Stay tuned for a build log.

Built another Robocat for my sister. Not my normal choice of color, but she loves it. This one doesn't have any FPV gear. Due to my niece flying my blue cat, and losing it, parts are on order build another one. Never a dull moment in my life.

It took new motors and flight controller, but it flies good now. Having issues with the GPS unit, so took it off and flashed Betaflight. Thinking GPS might have gotten damaged when it landed up side down after motor failure with first flight. Weight is on par with first, minus 1550mAh vs 1300mAh. All in all, happy with it.

Madien was going well until motor 4 quit working. Back to the bench with this one. Time to get the Fluke out.

Here are pics of my first build. I used an Omnibus F3 FC in a Robocat 270mm frame, Racerstar 4 in 1 ESC, Racerstar RF2205 2600KV motors, Eachine 700TVL camera with 200mW vtx, and a Flysky FS-i6x/X6B combo. Oh, and Kingkong 5040 triblade props. Build went well, with just a couple of mistakes. Moved a few things around after finishing it first time. First test flight didn't go well, but second was good. Look forward to snow to be gone to get outside with it fly it. Blue canopy pieces are on there way, and thinking about repainting yellow one silver.
