I wanted to make a RTF / Cheapie Gear Flyer.
Used a Ultrfly Furious Bought on Sale, Esskay 400 XT Motor, S75 KnockOffs (not crazy about) and a CC ThunderBird 18 had on hand but will use an Exceed ESC when the CC ESC is needed. Using Zippy Lipo's from Hobby City 800mah 20c. Traded the Radio & RX from a Typhoon. May Try the Power HD
Servo's or HXT when These go.
Added the Carbon Fiber to the wing and larger Wheels and Tail Wheel From Du-Bro. Used Ikarus Shock Flyer Hardware and Carbon Rods. Painted the GWS Prop with Fusion Spray Paint. She's Very Strong and is very Easy to fly a perfect 3D Sport Flyer that can take a little wind.
After many runs on my pack it started to discharge strange and not have as much power.
I got the Electrifly in a package deal. I feel itís a little heavy and expensive so I run CommonsenseRC pack now. I also picked up one of the ďUltra-BalancerísĒ which work very nicely.
With the information in this link: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...=retrofit+taps
I was able to retrofit the electrifly lipo. It uses the same configuration. Itíll be nice to be able to use this pack to itís full potential.
Here is my newest model, and last 3D kit. I ordered foam and my next project will be for the " foam building contest in Rcgroups ". I have a neat idea.
This shocky is made from 3mm Depron, really light. I used Gorilla Glue, so i'll see how it holds up. The directions where off in a few areas.
Happy Forth or July Everyone!

What a total waste of time and money. I have never been more disapointed.
1st flight The Landing Gear / Wing Spar cracked in flight when I did a loop. Landing was a heart stopping event.
Then I cut the landing gear off, 2nd flight there was stress cracks along the top of the wing. Wing fluttered heavily in flight. Clear taped the LE and Strapping taped the wing top and bottom.
3rd Flight pulled up out of small dive and I'm not sure if the motor mount cracked mid flight or the wing, luckily it was only a few feet off the ground. Next stop, Garbage can.
GP has made some great products in the past like the Triton & Rimfire to name a few but the guy who designed this plane should be flatout fired.
I have a Shock Flyer on Bench as we speak.
