The Xiaomi Drone 4K is on the market for some time now so why a such late review you may ask ? Well it's simple, people when have new tech and review it they usually are optimistic and give out biased opinions and they don't have a reliability factor taken into account. I will share my opinions and I will tell you some less known stuff and mostly the "cons" that no one is telling you.

It's a highly asked question of what version of drone to choose as it's sold in options: Chinese, USA, etc. The single difference is the bundle as the China version comes with propeller guards while the other versions come without them but it includes a WiFi dongle of which we are going to talk about later. There is also now a China version and a "China + prop guard" version, the first one has the WiFi dongle while the second one misses it.

The ZOHD Nano Talon is a "Snap and Fly" plane that features an extremely quick way of assembly making it possible to be deployed in seconds. The plane also comes with a built in gyro stabilizer and V-tail mixer so you you will not need to fiddle with complicated transmitter setups while the gyro will help you learn to fly it easy. Last but not least the plane comes with a large internal bay accessible through no less than 3 different hatches and canopies making it very easy to work on and upgrade.

The Nano Talon is available from: HERE
Cheaper with coupon: HTY9A

Part 1 of a video build and review series, more info, pictures and details soon.

ZOHD Nano Talon - Full Build & Review, part 1 (14 min 48 sec)

The 2nd part of the ZOHD Nano Talon build & review series.
Be sure to check it as I'm installing and configuring the receiver, gyro and setting the failsafe on a FlySky TX&RX kit which "usually" doesn't support this safety feature. The gyro also has a big advantage as you don't need to set any kind of v-tail mixes on your TX.

So I've got the the new Up Air One Plus 4K - "WiFi Digital Edition" which is an updated model that comes with several key improvements such as new and much more better 32bit flight controller (PX4 based), while the "analog fpv version" was using a 8bit APM, digital WiFi FPV streaming in HD quality directly to mobile phone app and 4K capable video camera. The new app permits camera and some of the drone settings to be done quickly like on DJI drones.

Available from:

Main Features:
● GPS-enabled RTH, including Smart RTH, low-voltage RTH, fail-safe RTH.
● 2-axis gimbal, 4K video, 16MP picture camera, 100-degree FOV and 800m FPV range.
● Waypoints and follow me.
● Position hold and altitude hold
● Up to 25min flight time provided by the 5400mAh 3S intelligent battery.

Up Air One Plus 4K - Digital WiFi Edition - Full Review Part 1 (15 min 29 sec)

The test flight with the new Up Air One Plus 4K - Digital Edition is now live on YouTube. Although the drone flies flawless there are 2 things to investigate: microSD card format and size compatibility and gimbal + camera static balancing as the weight is offset currently and in some situations it will generate shake and jello.

Now this is a contradiction, named KingKong and it's only 117mm in "wheelbase", a mad racing mosquito with the name of a legendary movie character. Usually my reviews are split in two and normally first part is the one to get released initially, well this time I didn't have patience to try it and flew it directly and it was with some consequences as my setup for the flight controller was almost non existent. If you want to find more details about it you can check it here:

The Bugs 6 with FPV kit is available from HERE
Use the coupon: c80241 and get 25% OFF

The Bugs 6 (also called Bugs 8) is what MJX says it is an entry level racing quadcopter, a thing that I can only partially agree with and I will tell you why. The new Bugs 6 is a brushless 250mm class racing quadcopter with a twist, it uses just a "2S" LiPo battery, small 1806 motors and lacks acro mode, but here is where entry level ends and gets interesting as like the other "bugs" it does come with some really nice extras such as 2-way radio telemetry which will warn you about aircraft battery level and also signal strength. Beside this feature you also get a lost alarm and FPV camera modularity, you can opt for the MJX combo camera which will record 720p footage and also will output 5.8G FPV, or use the designated space to install your own system.

The build construction and design are also well thought and makes it easy to modify and service the quad, it only takes 2 seconds to pop out the top cover and have access to the internals. The propellers are also fixed on the motors with thumb friendly nuts makinging it very easy transport by taking the props off.

Eachine Goggles Two 5.8G Diversity Raceband HD 1080p FPV Goggles Review and DVR MOD

The Eachine FPV goggles are a know brand already, it's an exclusive Banggood brand and they supervise the product quality. What is nice about this way of releasing products is the fact that the seller will note the user's desires and implement them thus getting newer modeles with better functions. In this case we will have a thorough look at the Eachine Goggles Two, a FPV headset that really stands out of the crowd due to their specifications. The most important thing that i must start to specify is the type of used screen which in this case is a Full HD 1080p 5" LCD screen, taking image clarity to a whole new level. Of course you may ask why full HD when 5.8Ghz FVP is analog and has ~VGA resolution ? The answer is simple, the Eachine Two also has HDMI input thus enabling digital usage with high end devices and not only that, you can now use them with DJI quadcopter such as the Phantom 3&4, Mavic and Inspire, along with media players, tablets and even PC's making an impressive and immersive experience.

The goggles are available at a special price (currently) from the single existing provider, here:

I will start by adding the video review first as you can observe a lot of details from it and then i invite you to read more about the Eachine Two and how to mod them by adding a DVR.

Video review / test flight of the Volantex V761-1 Trainstar

Volantex RC V761-1 Trainstar 400mm Wingspan 6-axis Gyro Airplane - part 2 (4 min 33 sec)

Posted by TechTronic9000 | Mar 30, 2017 @ 07:18 AM | 7,147 Views

The Volantex V761-1 "Trainstar" is a mini 400mm wingspan EPP based ready to fly airplane that is mostly intended for beginners and indoor use. It's 6-axis gyro is specially designed to help people learn faster how to fly model airplanes and will also prevent most crashes due to lack of experience. When your confidence and skills increase you can always disable the stabilization system and take full manual control and increase your skills. To get more in detail about the gyro i must specify that this is a automatic leveling system that continually adjusts the control surfaces so that the plane is easy to control and prevent it from flipping, rolling or inverting it by mistake, the gyro will also increase the overall stability. The gyro has 3 workings modes and those are: beginner (full assist), mid (some assist), expert (gyro off-full manual).

The Volantex design is based on the real "Cessna" airplane model and has a common appearance. It's body is made of EPP foam which will provide sufficient resistance to an amount of crashes. Last but not least the wings are reinforced with carbon fiber rods for overall strengthening. The plane also comes with a landing gear included and very useful for taking off and landing on pavement or asphalt. The propeller is made from soft ABS so it won't get broken in a crash.

Eachine Tiny QX90C 90mm FPV Quadcopter - part 2 - Cleanflight Setup (10 min 51 sec)

Get it from:

The Eachine Tiny QX90C is a 90mm micro FPV quadcopter that features: SP F3 based racing flight controller and a FPV AIO camera with 25mW transmitter. The frame is made from plastic and can take a lot of beating. Of course the rest of the quad is built in such of way that it also enables quick repairs, the motors are easy to swap and come with connectors so there is no need of soldering, while the battery has it's own tray and it's simple to swap out.

Eachine Tiny QX90C 90mm FPV Quadcopter - part 1 (8 min 1 sec)

The mini quad scene is taken by storm, almost all producers try to produce as small as possible quads mostly for indoor flying. This was not a real challenge until the trend imposed other rules, make it smaller, put FPV and make it acro like a real racing quad. Of course this was only possible with the arrival of tiny AIO cameras that include their own vTX module. Further on in this review we are going to discuss about the Eachine Tiny QX90C, which is a 90mm micro FPV quadcopter that features: SP F3 based racing flight controller and a FPV AIO camera with 25mW transmitter. The frame is made from plastic and can take a lot of beating. Of course the rest of the quad is build in such of way that it also enables quick repairs, the motors are easy to swap and come with connectors so there is no need of soldering, while the battery has it's own try and it's simple to swap out.

As the flight controler is SP F3 based it means that it runs cleanflight and / or betaflight making it extremely configurable, you can program multiple flight modes like angle mode, horizon mode, rate and full acro.

The MJX X916H is a combination between all the latest trends in technology and social life and I'm saying this because it's a combination between: a drone, a smartphone and a flying camera. The tiny drone is only controlled by a smartphone application thus no transmitter is needed or included in the package. Another particularity of this model is the striking design "borrowed" from the Lily drone which makes it looking different from all the "sci-fi" looking ones. First thing to mention is that the camera is not doward angled and this is a good thing as it will not film only the ground but you can film yourself or take decent selfies without the need of going to high.

The goodies don't stop here, the MJX 916H has some other useful features under it's sleeve, a very import one of them is the altitude hold which I consider a key feature for a smartphone quad as the difference control method makes is more slow and docile to control thus permanent altitude correction would make it hard to control for a beginner. Of course the altitude hold option comes with auto take of and auto land. A manual take off or landing is still available and you have an option to arm the motors and control them.
