Just got the Warthog and the EF16 in the air.

The '16 rocks with a Don's RC 5400kv motor on 4S. The GWS A10 flies on 5 blade EDF55s cut down to 3 blade on Turnigy motors powered by two 2S 2200s. 20oz of thrust and 10 mins of flying on about 25A total...

The CMPro T34 on 5S with retracts flies great and lands easy.

The lone Hangar 9 Sopwith is my sole gasser for the time being...

Some years ago I picked up a Kamdax MIG-15 gasser and flew it for a while before it went on the shelf in the shop. Flew well and I enjoyed it. At that time I flew it without gear.

Few weeks ago I got the itch to convert it to EDF and add the gear to ROG it so I picked up a spare Phase 3 EF-16 power system and had at it.

Painted it in North Korean colors and did up some waterslide decals. AUW with a 2250 Zippy 3S is 23 oz. Converted the elevator from the original Kamdax fixed horiz - vertical stab tilt setup to an all flying horiz stab with the servo embedded in the vert. stab.

Maiden tomorrow...

Finally got the paint and decals on my scratch F4 of Col Robin Olds Scat XXVII. Flew good before the paint and I'm hopin' after the weight gain she'll do OK

Maiden went great.

Cool clear Sat morning here in Houston. Tossed her up and off she went. Few clicks of up and right trim and she flew like a champ. Plenty of power. CG was about an inch rearward from stock but pitch seemed fine. Accelerates nicely and will float FOREVER

I think the wing clip and the smoothing of the flight surfaces increased top speed. Seems to be about as fast as my stock HP F16. Really looks nice in flight.

Got 'er done finally. 35oz AUW. 2" wing clip, some general foam work, and a little less incidence & dihedral. Flying surfaces all coated with newsprint and wbpu. Made 'em nice and tough. Painted using craft acrylics and the stock decals (which are no where close to accurate but good enough for standoff ). 29oz of thrust at 44A and 450w. Hopefully the wind here in Houston will comply this weekend...

Now that the F16 is flying good it's time to move on

Picked up a GWS-15 with the stock (blue motor) power system and servos for a good price from Hi Country & started to build it yesterday.

I've decided to go minimal. Elevons, no LG, and as little hardware as possible to save weight. Already clipped the wings 2". Will sand to fair the upper body to the wing mid-section some to alleviate the boxy outline of the fuselage.

I don't care for the deeply inlaid panel lines so I'm covering the wings and tail with newsprint and WBPU. Should clean up the aerodynamics a lot as the wings and tail are pretty draggy due to all the nooks and crannies.

No fiberglass rods needed since the covered wings will give plenty of strength. 3S Loong Max packs and ESCs on the way from Hobby City.

Picked out a nice blue/grey camo scheme to use...

Just finished my Phase 3 F16 that I painted in the colors of the Israeli 'Barak' or 'Thunder'. Thought it was a cool camo scheme

Stock power setup, balanced tailerons, glassed belly and nose section. 22oz all up. Acrylic paints with water slide decals that I generated.

Sidewinders were made from an old hollow composite arrow shaft and the fins from blister pack plastic. Both weigh a half ounce. Removable for flight...
