JJRC has come out with two Christmas theme micro drones that are great for stuffing the stockings: The "H66 X-MAS Egg", and "H67 Flying Santa Claus." This review covers both of the JJRC family of holiday drones and compares them so you can make a more informed choice on which one to buy.

JJRC H67 Flying Santa & H66 X-MAS Egg Christmas Drones (16 min 20 sec)

🎅JJRC H67 Flying Santa Claus: https://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopt...?lkid=11934757

Overall, the Flying Santa Claus is my favorite. After the holidays are over, it's prime for modification, easy motor replacement, FPV, removing the sound, etc. It's also cheaper than the egg drone. However, the egg has a surprisingly good 720p camera with a really unique form factor. It's also very easy to control with the gravity-sensor wand.

What a day! I have been fortunate enough to receive the new MJX Bugs 8 directly from MJX themselves for review and demo flight. In this video I cruised around using my FatShark goggles. I received the entire Bugs 8 kit -- headset, receiver, the works, but I wanted to just give the fatsharks a try since that is I how I *always* do FPV with my racers. Here are the results!

And here is the full review, with the MJX goggles:

I just got my RunCam 3 that I purchased and I'm ecstatic! It's a little beast of a camera for sure. It gets hot as hell when wifi is turned on, though. But I'm not planning on using it often with wifi enabled anyway. I made a few time lapses for fun with it earlier and the video quality is quite good. Hope I can do a full comprehensive review soon.

FuriBee F3 32-bit Brushed Flight Controller Build Blog Article!

This is a brand new product from GearBest for building your own micro quads. $23 for an F3 board. I'm going to be building a few tiny whoops using these parts from gearbest and will be blogging about my results here. This is a very, very great price and probably the cheapest F3 micro board you're going to find online right now. They have it in both DSMX and FrSky RX.

I'll be doing a build with this board soon, so watch this space!

FuriBee F3 32-bit Brushed Flight Controller // FAST "Tiny Whoop" build! (12 min 54 sec)

The Build Adventure

1. Flashed betaflight by choosing SPRACING F3, BF 1.01, baud rate of 115200 with full chip erase selected. No bootloader shorting required.

2. Went to receiver -> changed AETR1234 to TAER1234 to fix the throttle being "wrong" for my X9D+ -- this will confuse the hell out of you if you try to set this up in either cleanflight or betaflight and you don't do this step. Both...Continue Reading

In this video, I review the JJRC H36 quadcopter / drone, a micro quad for under $20 that can be quickly and easily modded with fpv. A great blade inductrix alternative.

It's taken me a few months since purchasing the Chroma at the beginning of December, but I finally have the AP/FPV setup I want out of it. I put together a video guide that explains how I took the Yuneec GB203 gimbal and wired it up a TS832 video transmitter. I love this setup.

I had a blast today flying in Winter Storm Jonas. Took my Blade Chroma out with a brand new GB203 gimbal. I'm impressed as hell with the stability and results from this gimbal and GoPro Hero 4k Black.

Before I took off, I used scotch tape and sealed up all of the vents AND the power switch on the Chroma. I'm not sure if this is necessary, but I feel like covering those vents is a good idea as you can see some parts of the fc board are exposed in the front at the very least.

Other than that, the Chroma is a trooper in Stability Mode in this type of weather. I was running the CamCarbon props by Carolina Dronz which most definitely helped out.

You can see the wind pushing against me, but this video is amazingly stable for the conditions... I hope to do a lot more videos in the future.

Here is my video 'review' / instructional guide on how to modify the 350QX for long range, quality FPV downlink.

The whole build is really easy to do once you know exactly how it works and you get a really powerful setup. It also resolves an issue with the 350QX GPS not having enough shielding with a noisy camera.

Blade-350-qx-1-2-3-Body-Landing-Gear-Combo-For-FPV-Conversion-Kit
  • Convert your Blade 350 qx 1/2/3 into an FPV body.
  • You can integrate your OSD and A/V transmitter.
  • No more wires hanging. This is a very clean looking setup.
  • Carbon fiber canopy helps shield the GPS receiver from interference from cameras & adds space for electronics.
  • Carbon Fiber A/V transmitter compartment along with graphite RF shield blocks 90% outgoing RF increasing the range and quality of your video downlink.

Size of A/V transmitter compartment:

L 2.5" W 1"5/16 H 10/16" L 63mm W 33mm H 15.9
The A/V transmitter compartment can hold Boscam Ts832 600mw, Immersion RC 600mw, Fatshark 250mw transmitters and anything similar in size or smaller.

The canopy and A/V transmitter case along with graphite shield and antenna terminal can be purchased individually.

Package Includes:

1x carbon fiber canopy
1x carbon fiber A/V transmitter case
2x templates
1x external antenna terminal
1x graphite shield
1x installation guide

You can buy any of the pieces separately or all at once. The video guide I've created explains ALL of the hardware and exact setup based on his specs; however you are free to use whatever you like that will fit into the case! It's a pretty big case, and the carbon fiber canopy is a valuable addition all on its own.

Any comments or questions are welcome!
