Another good Saturday. There was enough breeze out of the SE to slope fly the bowl, coupled with plenty of strong thermals. While we played in the SE Bowl, the TD crew were winching on the Westside. Plenty of good fun. The only downside was the loss of a couple TD planes off the winch and Mike’s camera plane hit a pipe.

So the morning winds were at about 5mph out of the North, definitely a “floater morning”. Luckily by noon, the wind had increased to 10+ by noon and shifted to the NNE. This put us into the NE bowl and the fun began! With the prospect of great winds we had a banner crowd. Airspace was at a premium with lots of air traffic. Surprisingly, there were only two mid-airs (if you don't count foamy combat) and only a couple tough landings (crashes?). One of the highlights was Footy debuting his 4m KA-8. This Saturday was a very good day!
