Halloa guys

yes sir.. I've got me a couple of new quads in, and the concept of them is more interesting in itself then just these quads.. These are 4-inch quads, and that is obviously nothing new.. These aren't the powerhouses we've come to expect though, and I think it's good to at least Try this approach

An intro:

The Italiën Job - A Different Concept For FPV Racing Quads - P1: Introduction (17 min 17 sec)

Hi there RC people

It can be a lot of fun to buy / order up a ready made RC, and go out & fly / drive it right away On the other hand great satisfaction can be found in selecting all components yourself and then build the craft
This allso gives you more insight into how things really work (and how they do Not work :P)

The objective in this project is to build a smooth Freestyle FPV quadcopter. My last build was more of a Powerhouse.. This time I want the quad to have a more liniar power-output..

This series will be quite a nr. of video's and I'll try to put as much info into the individual video's as possible. This allso means the project won't be ready in just a few days as well offcourse

Let's first have a look all the components for this build

FREESTYLER Project - GepRC KHX5 Elegant Quad Build - P1: Parts Overview (15 min 17 sec)

I've got me a new 3D printer in a few days ago, and got right into building it.. Well I should say I got right into shooting video's about it :P
This (new) Ender-3 is quite similar to the hugely popular CR-10 but it's footprint is a bit smaller, as is it's price

I will be doing a good nr. of video's on this printer! Here is my build-report of it (sorry.. long video)

Halloa guys

Soooo.. I just ordered me 2 identical quads, and I'm posting this cause maybe you can save a few $$ on this as well
apart from the price I was interested to test this setup as well though..

Link to the quad: KingKong / LDARC 200GT Lightweight 5-incher

Sooo.. apart from the price.. What is different here is the weight of the quad.. They didn't go for a monster-power quad, but for a lightweight one instead.. I like that idea! In my mind this does Not make it a racer though.. I'd say it could be a fun freestyle basher..

Allso: I ordered 2 of them myself to be able to do blind-tests between firmwares with..

Halloa guys

as a Youtuber I'm obviously allways on the look-out for better camera's I'm allso allways on a budget though, but the last thing a video should offcourse do is make viewers click away because of the bad video-quality :$
This time I tried the latest Xiaomi camera.. I've had good luck with their products so far (video-quad - Mix 2 phone - tool-set).. I had high hopes for the camera and wasn't disappointed

Howdy guys

so yeah.. we nowdays offten run smaller FPV quads right? I personally very much enjoy throwing those around.. Very conveniant to store & transport..
The drawback (for me) of them however is that putting a propper action cam onto them impacts the flight performance more then I like..
So I took a look at this (new) Firefly camera from Hawkeye..

Link to this action cam: Hawkeye Firefly.. super-mini action camera

And.. without further bla-bla.. Let's see how it did

Halloa people

I came across these Very sticky silicone slabs at BG.. They aren't really ment for RC-use, but I picked up a few to try them out..
They work Very well! You'd like them and... they are pretty cheap as well..

Halloa guys

soooo yes.. I've got me another FPV quadro in about a week ago It's a 110mm size one, and if you have followed my channel you might remember me daying I didn't really want smaller then 140/130 size quads anymore.. Mostly because most/all of them have crappy Cmos camera's, and are mostly quite fragile..

So yeah.. I couldn't resist ordering this Fly Fox because this one Does have a nice CCD cam, and on top of that: Smart Audio (Tramp protocol)

Hi there guys

yes.. we don't Only have lipo's etc to charge in this hobby :P Sometimes you need AA's or AAA's for radio's.. But these kinds of batteries are used in all manner of house-hold stuff as well offcourse
So far I used like really Dumb chargers for those types of batteries.. Time to step that game up a bit

Hi there guys

Recently I was getting a new FPV quad ready (again :P) and though it might be nice to record that process.. So this video is mostly aimed at people that transition from a brushed (FPV) quad to a brushless one, with all the Betaflight bells & wistles Can be quite dawnting I think!

As I've said over and over: it's Very advisable to first get the flying part down with a brushed quad.. such as this one:

DutchRC - THE beginner FPV Quadcopter?? The XK X130-T (32 min 6 sec)

And after that.. here is a how-to on getting your new brushless monster in the air (safely):
