Well, I have been flying for a number of years now mostly foamies and a few ARFs. I really enjoy the scale WW1 planes and others of that golden age. They had great style and flew well.
My planes have been getting bigger and bigger the past year or so moving up to 1/4 scale. However they have all been built already or ARFs.
I finally decided it was time to start this new phase of the hobby that has eluded me.... building and finishing a real kit.
I decided to start "simple", so I found a Flair Puppeteer kit and purchaced it. My good buddy Joe who has many more years than I do with building kits has kindly agreed to "mentor" me through this process.
The goal is to get enough experience under my belt and enjoy what I am doing enough to build the ultimate goals of my WWI fleet, a 1/4 scale Fokker DR1 and D VII.
At this point I only fly electric, so these will all be conversions as well, as if I wasn't already climbing uphill.
With his solid advice, I decided to start with the Pup.

I will try to add pictures as I go. Please enjoy and feel free to make comments... especially if you see me going astray...lol
But please be kind. Though I have done construction for years, this detailed skill is new to me and I am learning as I go.

Enjoy...
