Yup, move over Mrs L, I have a new love in my life.

It's funny, because I started out in this hobby thinking I'd get a Radian first. She'd be my ship to learn on. But sky high () import prices put her out of my league.
With hindsight, I'm glad. Instead I let a cheaper and smaller glider take all the burnt of my learning experience. Only last week did I finally commit the airframe to the wheelie bin. RIP Sky Surfer.

But that leaves me with a Radian and almost the skills to fly it. That's just fine by me
I've probably emptied 10 packs through her and every flight is just a joy. I'll try grab some pics next time out.

This aircraft continues to amaze me.

Today I thought I'd try inverted flight. I had the classic brain to thumbs interference and like I suspect many before me, when I got too close to the ground inverted, I added up elevator. Then in blind panic as my plane roared towards the earth, I panicked and added even more up elevator.

Crashed pretty solidly at 3/4 throttle. The motor cowling popped off, the canopy fell off, the wings separated slightly. 30 seconds with some glue and she's good to go. Unbelievable.

Oh yeah this too:

First proper glider, that is to say she's not powered.

My Thunder Tiger Whisper 1400:

Maidened 14/8/14 using the supplied mini histart and came home in one piece. Perfect!

This will hopefully serve as a log of my journey into flight.

Having started in January 2013 with a Nine Eagles Sky Surfer gifted to me for Christmas, I have now progressed (read that as the Sky Surfer is now too beat up to fly) to a Bixler 1.1.

Here's the first onboard footage, taken with a 99p camera. Yes, the quality is awful, the wind was ferocious and blowing from the same direction as the setting sun, but I want it to keep a record of where I've come from.
