Got new tail assembly this week for the 9104 and have fitted it. All seems to work fine on the test bed but the weather is rubbish so will have to wait to take it up

was able to get out saturday morning, the full power problem seemed to be resolved but the tail rotor was still malfunctioning. have replaced it with a xbm-12 tail motor gearbox assembly but weather turned to rubbish so have only spun it up to just under take off speed and the tail rotor assembly seemed to be ok. will try for real when poss. will keep updated

Flew my 9104 for the first time today. Went well, did a few of the mods which were being recommended on different sites but found that I had to take of all the weights. Managed to get it to hover and fly straight and fly around in a wide arc. This of course between some hairy flying which I thought was going to crash on several times.
So overall am happy with it at this stage. This is my third helo, my first was a single channel which i was given for xmas years ago and my other one is a t-smart xbm-12 co-axial. Next one up will be a 6 channel one but will have to save a bit for that.
Second weekend flying not as good as the first, waste of time actually. First the tail rotor didn't want to spin up half the time but found that flicking it makes it go and as long as it doesn't stop spinning it goes fine and second the transmitter would apply full power for no reason which makes things real hairy. found that if the arial was juggled it would cause the power surge so have wrapped some tape around the arial so it doesn't wobble. Will find the right screw bit so can get the back of to see if anything is loose. hopefully this weekend is going to be better. have a spare xbm-12 tail set so might fit that and see if it will spin up fast enough
