Beginner R/C Summer camp 2015 at Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum.
We stepped away from Horizon planes this year and went with Flite Test kits. I'm happy we did.
Day 1 we built our Flite Test Mini Scouts. Great kits to build w/beginner students.
More tomorrow!

They were building better and with much more confidence today. After sim time they all buddy boxed again. I know all of them will solo tomorrow without a hitch.
We watched "James May's Toy Story" today at lunch. The one where he builds a toy glider that flies 22+ miles. Here is a link to it.

Day one of R/C camp. 12 kids all middle school age.
The kids made their Super Delta Darts, learned about the four forces of flight and a little aviation history.
The kids have sim time then stick time (buddy box) on the house Champ.
All the kids did a great job!
Tomorrow the T-28Ds and a few other planes. This is sooo cool. I don't know who is having more fun, me or the kids.

Ready for our R/C summer camp. Starting tomorrow the kids will get stick time on micro planes. Building tomorrow as well. Each camper is getting his or her own Champ that they will solo by Friday.
I think some of you will recognize the aircraft you sold to me here on the classifieds. I thank you and the kids will too. Without the deals I got here I could not have pulled this off on my budget.
The end result I hope are some kids interested in R/C flying as a hobby.
I'll keep you all posted through the week.

Had great time flying with some Salem cats yesterday. Micros on a nice calm afternoon.

I even managed to pick up a few goodies from a flyer, including a well used T-28 micro. I flew that little jem today at lunch.

A great day to fly. We had to move out several of our cold war jets to make way for a special evening event. Flying my Ember 2, here is a shot of it going under our Global Hawk, regular and close up.
