As can be gleaned from my posts on the B24 build, yall might have wondered why I know about the Onocology profession and the word of the week.. Sad truth is our fav Mother decided I needed Colo- Rectal cancer.. yea right I did.. Doing the chemo / radiation routine now.. so things are gonna get slow on the sticking fingers to the plane routine.. But there is always time to wander out to the shop and do something.. Just thinking about seeing this monster slipping the surly grip of the earth and cruising around her element keeps the mind focused on the better parts.. A lot of my freinds here in San Antonio have commented on my outlook of the process at hand.. I look at it like this.. There are 2 options.. 1 I can sit in a dark corner and mope and whine about it or #2 I can be my normal upbeat self and do what needs to be done.. psychologically and physically option 2 is better for beating this tempory setback eh?? now where are those cookies??

As I sit here picking glue out of the fingerprints musing things over, I was wondering why build this beastie.. short answer is Because I can..
There are a lot of the Boeing B17's and B29's but very few of the B24's.
They are all 4 engine heavy bombers.. all have lots of defensive armament..aka Browning 50 cals.. so why is the 24 not well represented in model form?

Have my myopic nose stuck into all kinds of models, planes trains cars boats.
If it has an on off switch I will tear it apart to see how it works. Guess you can tell I am a mechanic by trade. When I aint got my hands cya'd I can be found at the Bridge table. bty I currently reside in San Antonio.
