I enjoy flying my Walkera QR Ladybird V1, at least till it hits the walls of my office, and with the weather below 40 degrees and winds at 18mph, I don't even want to go outside to drive my car.

I realize now that heli's is not an east coast hobby, maybe stamp collecting or knitting would be a better cold weather activity.

Sure the LB is known to take hits, but it's a matter of just how many hits and at what speed and it seems I maxxed out the design parameters.

So after a hundred? hits the arms put too much stress on the frame connection and the battery case broke.

Not to fear as this is why God they make carbon fiber rods and CA. I put one 2mm rod across a single horizontal broken member and I used a squashed piece of rod as a sheet to repair two horizontal broken members as small pieces were tossed to unknown parts of my office.

So the LB flies just like it used to, right into walls.

I guess I better learn to fly this d*mn thing or fly one of my V911's around my office like it's on fire.

While cruzing the Internet this morning, instead of working, I came across this article about a new device that we will be seeing allot of very soon. And it clearly has direct use for future heli technology.

So take a look, I know you'll find it interesting.

When you're self employed and the economy is starting to get back on it's feet and when the big project finally hits you've been praying for last year finally kicks in gear you really don't have a choice but to dismiss everything in your life but work so you can pay the bills and bank a few shekels for the next rainy day.

So what if you only see your wife in the morning, at dinner and while watching Dexter and Homeland on Sunday. And as far as having time for driving my 300 hp Vette vibrating through custom dual exhaust and headers around the block on Sunday afternoon waking up who fell asleep while watching the Philadelphia Eagles lose another football game. But that's gotta wait till the weather turns around.

So when it comes to pulling out a new micro quad and run it into the office walls, well, that's gotta wait till all the big checks are deposited and I'm down to the usual "I need this yesterday" routine.

So while everyone is flying FPV I'm sitting on my *ss clearing out my backlog and waiting to fly something. And I gotta admit I'm pretty burnt out this week so I dusted off the micro quads I bought two months ago and started to mess with them.

And ya know, I really suck. Yeah, I made 2 marginal V929 vids and I can fly a V911 like it's on fire around my office perimeter but add 2 more rotors and my reflexes look like a 90 year old man eating soup. A good soup, not that crappy canned stuff with allot of salt, the stuff my little Italian...Continue Reading

I've been a bit too busy to have any time to enjoy any me time.

But after a few months I kind of pulled things together.

Jeez, that photo kinda kills part of it.
