Rebuilt my poor old TW-742 Sky Hawk, again!
First time around, I put new electronics in that I bought second hand in a heaps of parts he had. So it ended up with a new unknown motor, and running 8x4 props, it was no slouch anymore! I could get it to hover, but not hold it for very long due to not enough control authority (obviously!)

My latest and greatest
Have had a few issues on first few flights with unequal thrust from each motor, but have fixed timing and going to waterproof ESC's. Flew beautifully first flight before thrust problems. Tip stalls into a death spiral though when flown to stall speed, would be devastating at low altitude!

I have my Z101 back together, new main shaft and main blade grip set, and pair of turnigy 1440A servos. Haven't been real successful at flying this heli, so I have got a 4ch coaxial micro coming soon to learn on. Ill have to try and hold off flying this to avoid necessary damage - again!

I have replaced the stock MX2 motor (which basically tore itself in half) with this NTM propdrive motor.
Ill be flying tomorrow hopefully to test it out. I have also replaced stock rudder and elevator servos with D-MG16 Metal Gear servos. Much faster!

Pilots name is Hans, I bought it from the LHS and the owner is named Hans, and its looked just like him, only without the grey hair
Starmax MX2 new servos test (0 min 16 sec)

Poor FMS FA/18..
Hit the same pole twice in two days obviously needed a larger flying area for this bird. Last crash resulted in a munched EDF, so didn't bother rebuilding (was worse then the pictures I have uploaded, it was rebuilt and flown to its real death after these!)...Continue Reading

Ok, plane has been built already, but I will list mods I have already done:
-used to use a mystery 30A ESC, before I lost canopy it got really hot, I recently swapped it for a random 30A I had lying around.
-Air intake (used to have a cowl, but fell off when I lost my plane once)
-CF rod in stock CF tube spar
-CF rod under length of fuse
-CF rod in both tail surfaces
-rubber band and 3M key hooks for wing retention
-6x4 prop
-replaced aileron and elevator servo's with HXT900's (not immediately, after a while they stopped centring properly).
-Fabric tape under fuse to protect foam in landings
-and a bit of paint
