Hi Ppl

I am in need of some mighty brains and the info they hold.

I need to control an ESC but not with any normal way.

I would like it to work with a 3 position switch.

or a potentiometer in a small form factor.

I know about servo testers they are big for what I'm doing and would prefer to set 3 or 4 speeds and nothing in between.

idea is a rotary switch
click one powers on the system
click two 25% throttle
click three 50% throttle
click four 75% throttle
click five 100% god help us mode

if you know of one I would appreciate this info
if you can make one I would appreciate you as a whole by paying for said product.

thank you in advance.

This is my winter flight to you.

Flight was in very cold conditions with some insane wind to suet. This is the first time I have ever flown over the lake so was a little worried about losing my plane and more importantly my GOPRO2. Will go over again some time with better wind conditions.

this is my own design of octa size is 1000mm from motor to motor. this is made with 2mm 3k weave carbon fiber sheets. held together by epoxy and ca which means less wight for more carbon. also means the parts will snap apart before you will break the expensive carbon peaces. each arm can lift 25KG safely (not recommended but testament to strength of carbon and epoxy only)

the plans wer cut using my new range of CNC machines just Incas any one cared lol. this also means they wer cut extremely well so all components needed a little hit to fit snuggly in place.

some parts still missing

4 carbon fiber tubes to go into the landing skid 2 in the middle and 2 on bottom.
need to assemble the cam rig can hold dslr size cams.

the holes in the arms are not just to pass the cable Thru they are for nylon sleeve (the stuff you get on hdmi cables) this leaves a cleaner finish.

total wight including cam rig and landing skid is 2kg, but it can easily lift 10 to 20KG

i have already sold over 10 of these to photographers in the EU but cant seem to find the time to build my own.

let me know what you guys think of it and if you are interested complete frame kit frame landing skid and cam rig) is going for $1100.

Hey guys don't normally fly directly outside my house but badly wanted to see what my area looked like. also the weather was changing so quick that i relli didn't have the time to go to my normal spot.

enjoy in HD

Hey guys

this is my new FPV platform the plane is the AERO-MASTER by AERO-NAUT.

this thing has some insane power also able to carry a crazy amount of wight.

i knew i wanted the GOPRO2 to be at the front so i made sure that everything else is as close to the CG as passable to compensate.

the wiring looks insane but considering ther is bec, esc,rx,tx,RVOSD and lipo. i don't think i did to badly lol.

the fuselage is fiberglass and the wings are covered balsa.

took it for a quick test the other day but wind pickit up very quickly and it was harsh but plane still took the beating and when it gets hairy you just speed up it seems to fix it lol.

hope to get clover leaf antenna soon then I'm all done....Continue Reading

hey guys this is my new plan to build an octa.

i'm having some issues wrapping my head around the idea of using 2mm carbon fibre for the entire thing. the plan is to use 1 sheet of 2mm carbonfiber and CNC cut it all with a 1mm head.

do you guys think 2mm is strong enough? i have added a picture of how the 8 arms will be, so top layer with motor mount then horizontal layer which has grooves to attach to the 2 outside peaces but will still epoxy it thru the entire length of the horizontal peace.

please let me know what you guys think i have the option of 2mm carbon fibre or 4mm. i did also see this fibreglass flat sheet which in 2mm was actually strong wonder if that would be a cheaper option.

(the booms are 50CM each and 5CM is inside the middle frame so only 45CM will be out)

thank you

BTW i'm an animator so this took me 2 hours but not looking forward to doing it in CAD

hi guys alot of people have this transmitter and its fantastic but after a wile they more then likely will change the module to the frsky module.

this is fine if it didn't mean you had to waste the original turnigy module and all the receivers. i would still like to use them for boats and other planes that will not be using for fpv. the receivers are much cheaper then the frsky.

this is my very basic mod to be able to swap both modules in the Field easily costing nothing

please tell me what you think of this...Continue Reading

do Clover Leaf antennas relli make a difference I'm using 5.8ghz 500w and would love to expand the range but cant buy the MHz due to legal restrictions.

would love to know if the difference is massive with a Clover Leaf?

this is why i love the AXN yesterday i took this plane in no less then 14 peaces.

glued it all back together left it to dry thru the night then went out to fly

this is the Best quality i have achieved out of the GoPro2 so far due to the weather. also my flight isnt bad as this is the highest i have ever flown.

PS check out that landing i do believe I'm getting better at landing near me not 5 Min's walk away lol

watch this in full HD please its for your own sake

i checked everything and it all works all servos are fine and transmitter was knower near its limit.

hey guys this is the first time i took the gopro 2 up in the air. it was total wight of G this was go pro and waterproof housing. the plane is the AXN , i was shocked at how much extra wight it can carry and how it somehow improved the handling of this plane.

it was getting dark so vid is a little grey i will Defoe be waiting for the first sign of sun to try this again.

Please watch in full HD

so after trying to avoid buying the gopro for a long time i finally gave in and had to buy it.

it just made sence i can use it for fpv , recording awsem clips from the air, swiming, driving and its the only cam i can hand to my son and not care that he will bite it with his 1 tooth.

enjoy my first week with this life styling cam lol.

BTW this was a grey week but the gopro2 made it look better dont know how.

please watch this in 1080p suck in all the pixals lol

2 months ago I purchased the AXN clouds fly and fell in love with it the min I took it out of the box.
At the same time I bought myself an expensive 2.5 metre wide sail/hot liner plane (aeromaster by aeronaut).

The intension of the AXN was to learn from this in order for me to use the bigger plane for FPV. All seemed simple enough till I took my AXN for a test fly for the first time. I was shocked and astonished to find out I CAN NOT FLY. The AXN flew out of control and slammed at top speed on to a concrete wall. I collected the many pieces and went home in shame as all the kids in the park ripped the piss out of me.

It would be amazing to say this only happened once and I recover then I would be lying it happened again and again and again in fact this happened so many times it didnít bother me anymore as I have become the master of all AXN repair issues.

Today I went to the park got myself ready remembered all things I have done before that have caused me to crash and launched the AXN and some sort of divine miracle happened it has been 20 seconds and Iím still in the air. I waited longer for the AXN to crash but it seems as the beating that this beast has been given thru time has weekend it and it now respects me. 4 mins later I had almost full control of this plane and it just felt amazing I was on top of the world and nothing was going to bring me down. 7 mins later my battery was almost empty and I remembered I have never even practised landing as I never thought the day would come but as you can see from the vid I managed and with amazing grace.
This is the first time I have taken this plane back home in 1 peace and what a feeling highly recommended and going out again tomorrow to fly and not to crash (hopefully)

I want to thank all the people who use RC groups all the tips I picked up hear made this possible

Iím trying to find a way to get the best range possible from my transmitter and receiver. I was wondering if anything can be done to get a much larger distance. Iím using a 2.4ghz system and was wondering if I just make the little wire on the receiver bigger and the antenna also would that give me better range?

this is the making of the fantastic aero nuat classic sport boat. It is made with mahogany and oak then varnished 3 times with a light sand in the middle.
Used a turnigy 2435 motor with a 30A plush ESC and a metal gear turnigy servo this was all powered by a turnigy nanotech 3s 3000MAH lipo.

I used pva in the inside to make this water proof and hot glue near the rudder and shaft to help with the vibrations. The set came with a rubber tube which was meant to be attached to the shaft then motor but I used a different setup to the 1 they advertised so the motor ripped that tube to peaces had to use a 2mm coupling.

If I was going to do this again I would not use the shaft provided and buy a thicker 1 this is a 2mm and is limited to the plastic propeller which even tho this boat is fast I feel due to the size of the propeller it looses power in the water.

Please tell me what you think and if there is anything you guys would do differently (Iím new to this)

this is a vid on youtube of the classic on the water
