Hey all, I decided to make some CAD drawings into PDF plans (see attached) for the Multiplex Funjet clone that Project Flight Design (aka Schraut5) on YouTube designed.

The materials you will need to make the air frame is: dollartree foamboard and some 1/2" insulation foamboard.
Using a large ruler and hobby knife is all you need to build this air frame.

Please reference PFD's design on Youtube at:
Funjet Clone Build Video - Part 1 (20 min 39 sec)

If you need some aircraft CAD models done please contact me as well. My YouTube channel is DHubert777

My video shows a quick way to determine what your video screen size will look like with your given Field of View (FOV) value.

RC Goggles-- What Screen Size to Expect! (5 min 19 sec)

Since I've gotten my Fatshark Attitudes I knew I really needed a pan-tilt mechanism for my Easystar/Bixler/WingSurfer (all the same plane). I did some researching online and found some cool ideas like the EZ Pod, and some other pan-tilts. So i hopped on SolidWorks and grabbed my calipers and started designing. I had some 1/8" MDF (actually .12" thick). From my 3D model I printed out my template and glued them to some MDF. Afterwards I used my scrollsaw and cut out every piece. All pieces fit very snug and I used wood glue to assemble the pieces. Everything seems to look and function perfectly.

Just got in my Fatshark Attitude FPV goggles. They are my first set of FPV goggles and I'm very impressed. The 35deg field of view (FOV) is great. I am on vacation right now and don't have my FPV gear so I plugged them up to a DVD player. Wow, great picture. The FOV is very comfortable for the eyes and seems plenty large and crisp! The volume control is only adjustable via your headphone volume dial (the goggles' output volume is maxed out).
The goggles are extremely comfortable and block out all the light. Cannot wait to fly with these and use the head tracker! Also the built-in 5.8Ghz should be awesome! Cannot wait... I'll give you all an update in the future (after Christmas)

My main question is when I lower the throttle in the air, the helicopter tends to pitch backwards thereby requiring me to counter it by moving the controls forward. Is this normal or can I fix this??

So I just recently purchased and set up the EXI 450 V2 (plastic version) helicopter from for about $37. Along from Xheli I bought their Detrum combo (motor, esc, 4 servos, and gy48v gyro) for around $40. I already have a DX6i and some batteries, so I was able to get a 450 TREX clone for about $84 after shipping!!

Since I'm new to 6 channel helicopters (been flying planes a lot and some co-axial heli's) I have a few questions. My main question is with regards when I lower the throttle in the air, the helicopter tends to pitch backwards thereby requiring me to counter it by moving the controls forward. Is this normal or can I fix this??

Using 1 servo, a push rod, and a rubber band I designed a way to make a great bomb/ parachute drop mechanism. Check out the video

Here's the Drop mechanism in action:

I've never used the stock motor on the Easystar. I'm using the Grayson Hobby V3 park jet motor ( Since this is an outrunner, I needed to make a modified motor mount. This is made from a piece of 1/8" birch ply. I measured the inside length and diameter, and made 2 circular notched discs as well as 3 columns. I did this on the fly/ in my head, so I don't have any "plans". I mounted the motor on with the mount provided with the motor kit (as shown). I used CA to glue the mount inside the Easystar's preexisting motor cavity. End result-- very sturdy, powerful setup.
