A buddy of mine loaned me some Fat Sharks, I hope the weather will allow me to use them this weekend. This FPV thing is new to me so I wan't to see what kind of learning curb it is before I buy my own, and I am working on a shoot with a filming crew and I wanted him (the director) to use them so he can fram the shot. So this weekend looks like it should be fun and different, as well. I hope the Quad does well I will post some footage later if all goes well.

Well I finished my build on the 650 and I think it will be a great machine. I am still getting it diled in. Here is a video of some hover testing. I turned the PI and I gains down after this video and it did tame it down a bit.

Well I pulled the triger and ordered a X650 with the new kk2.1 board. I can't wait to get it and start building. I went with this frame because it will hold all video and FPV gear on board as well as gps. The frame folds for easy transport, and I think it looks cool as well. Here is a pic of what I want when I'm done.

I picked this plane up last summer at a fly-in and had a buddy of mine build it, as he was looking for a project. I flew it yesterday and it did great, just like it's on rails I have it set up fast so it flys like a patteren plane. since I had the "Ducks" plane I had to sticker it as a "Beavers" plane. I fly it on a 1500 3c witha a 2200kv and 8" prop.

So with all the hoo haw with quads I thought I would try my hand at a quick build. It's 20" from rotor to rotor. Here are some pics of what I did so far.

Well it was only a matter of time. I recived my first Quad for Christmas. It's small, but very able to do some of the stuff I want to do. This bird came with a mini e-flight cam that you can turn on and off with the radio. I have never flown one before, so I took it solw and easy for the first few flights. I got to say it did great. After a few batt's and some time on the sticks, I loaded the cam on it and put it in the air outside. My first video was upside down (straped cam in upside down). The second flight turned out good. I got some great footage of my neiborhood from the air. I plan on useing the quad at the flight events that I will attened this next year, Also it will be good to take it to some indoor sessions.
The cool thing about this quad is it has 3 flying modes 0,1,2 in the first mode almost anyone could fly her. It has self stablizing, but after I get to know her I can switch to areobatic mode. It is able to flip and roll. we'll see as time goes on. All I can say for now is I think it is a great entry level quad, and is a lot of fun to fly.

So I was cleaning the shop and found this 40" fomie in a box of templates and dug up some gear and put this thing together. I ended up putting a 2200kv motor I had from a jet build and threw a 9x4 on it, loaded a 3cell 1000 and off it went...WOW what a rocket ship... this thing rocks on speed and handles like it's on rails. It will hang on the prop but it doesn't like it too well, but the knife edge is awsome. I can't wait to show it off at the field.
