This is my preferred flying site as it is close (to me), easy access, with plenty of parking, accommodates different wind directions, a nice landing pad, and gives a good view.

Discuss and update here.

Direction to Vincent Hill for fun/sloping/DSing/etc.

The Combat Wing. My first foamy, and the first plane I built in over 10 years. This has been recovered once now. I originally used some monocoat like covering and used the ole'iron. Frustrating, as it was effecting the foam, making a mess of the monocoat, and just looked like sheit. After two flights, it is a good flyer, sensitive to trim, but floats in light or heavy wind, and takes a real beating. I'm going to kill it soon, and salvage the parts for a JW 60, to be delivered in days.

This is a built kit purchased over 15 years ago from North East Sailplanes. This is the finest built plane of my building career. 64" wingspan, laquered wood surfaces, and if I remember right - fast as all hell. Now largely a hangar queen, but needs to be flown soon.
