I am going to make up this very sexy looking plane, but modify it to use a Park 450 BL outrunner in lieu of the stock Speed 400 motor.
I am awaiting some Tru-Tech spinners [purple anodized to match! ] for my plane, so the inner cowling mod will have to wait until I can verify dimensions for a good fit. The power system I'll be using is the Park 450 w/ Eflite 20A ESC, and a MAS 9x7x3-blade prop. Rx will be a Spektrum AR500, and the servos are HiTec HR-55s.
While waiting for the spinner(s) to arrive, I'll install the wing servos for the ailerons, and then do up the rest of the kit once the motor is mounted.
I did a static test on this system today (June 17/2010)
