hi everyone my name is Paul, but most know me as TC/Tami.

i have been into rc since the early 80's in the UK. my very first RC was the tamiya grasshopper and from there i upgraded to a optima mid. my affair with radio control is hit and miss, some days we hate the hobby and others we just love it.

i first came to light in a forum called ukmicrorc. mainly dedicated to the 1/18th scale racing trucks, cars, buggys. being good online friends with Cosie we started the forum in around 2004/5 with a very small user base, contending with the larger USA forums. it was here i found a love for modification and brushless micro systems.

my first Truck was the RC18T, this machine cost me a small fortune in billet alloy parts and a castle creations 8000kv mini mamba. in all i spent around 400 GBP building the truck up, and spraying my own shells. i self taught myself to airbrush and my modeling skills from balsa airframes helped with hand cutting decals/liverys.

my biggest project was the MG-LT1 named by myself and had taken 3 months work, the donor truck was a mini giant toy rc, mainly for the younger rc fans and not the older racer/driver. powered by 6x AA cells and a palm sized truck it was mostly overlooked in the UK. a 1/18th sized truck toy grade it needed a new life, so from 1/18th scale i took my drameil rotor tool an old tamiya F1 2wd and went to work, the fully converted toy grade truck became a 7.2v 1/12th scale rock crawler able to run 4x4x4.

from the mini giant conversion i moved onto rc drift, i purchased a race spech indoor chassis and went about converting to a honda accord drifter.

i took a break in 2005 and returned to the hobby about 9 months ago. alot has changed since my days in rc , 2.4ghz radios lipo cells and new lingo and terms.

below i leave you with a few pictures of my rc life
