The following is my point of view on the new FreeX Skyview Quad. I well try be be as accurate with the data as possible. Nothing I write below is intended as an insult to anyone it's only what I've experienced or see posted here in these forums.

I ordered my FreeX from Park RC Models at This re-seller does an excellent job of informing his customers every step of the process. He also test each quad before shipping them to you. He also provides a 30 day warranty of defective parts. This is not an ad for Park RC it just what I have had and seen from some of the user that have had issues with their quads.

I received my quad 3 days after ParkRC received it and have been flying it since. The first thing I did was to take it out of the box and since it was pre-tested I only did the first flight setup step that was provide in the box and on-line videos I had watched. The setting of the compass was simple just turn the radio on and then the quad move both the left and right sticks up and to the center(Open Compass). After you open the compass you need to pick up the quad and turn it 360 to the left, roll it 360 degrees to the left and the flip it forward 360 degrees. After that set it down and close the compass(both sticks up and out). Now you need to set the gyro, this is done with the USB dongle. Please read the instruction or watch the videos to fully understand these procedures.

I just built my my newest quad. Will it's more liked I put it together from parts I had lying around. Here are the Parts:

1 Phantom 2 body
2. Pixhawk FC I took out of my crap designed IRIS
3. QRx350Pro powerboard and esc's. The ESC's were a perfect fit in to the P2.
4. 4 DJI 2212 Phantom 1 motors.
5. QR 2D gimbal

Compare (11 min 20 sec)

I must say it flies 98% as good as the Phantom 2. I am getting 25 minutes of flight time without the gimbal and about 19 with gimbal.

Phantom2 with Pixhawk Flight Controller (6 min 0 sec)
