I had my mum visiting from interstate for the past few days. I send her all my aerial photos and videos, so she was keen to see the Passive fly.

It was a nice afternoon down at the local park where I jog at, so we went for an AP mission. Managed to get some nice snaps and my mum was quite impressed with it's slow flying. Good times

My mate from work has just bought a nice block out in the sticks. I told him a few weeks ago I would bring my plane out, and take some snaps of the land, whist being productive and doing some mowing.

He and his wife are just starting a family and will begin to build their house on the land in the next few years.

I figured in 10 years time, these photos will be a good reminder of how his block looked before they began to build, and before the kids came along. They may also help out when surveying the land for house/shed layout.

Anyway, what started out as he and I going out on a Saturday morning to do some photos, turned into a fun family day of flying, riding motos, mowing and a barbeque lunch

Absolutely perfect weather all day, and fun times with friends

There was a huge storm rolling in over Juc this afternoon so I decided to get the Passive out and go for a cruise.

It is way to windy to fly 99% of the year at this beach, but because the storm was on it's way it was eerily calm.

Toward the end of the flight I could see the rain coming in over the ocean, and the wind picked up.

I had a tiny bit of grass to land on, in front of the surf club (shown in the last pic), lucky I was flying the trusty Passive which crawled to a safe but hairy landing. My hands were shaking by the end of the flight.

At least it amused the surfers in relatively flat surf.

She is finished.

After what seems like a very long time (ordering parts, waiting for parts, and building), my Passive is finally complete and ready to fly.

Seeing as how this was my first proper build, it turned out a lot better than I expected. This is a credit to Mikes design/building methods and guidance along the way.

So thanks a lot Mike.

Here she is...

This is hand held, didn't want to fly around cliffs for the first time with the camera but I couldn't pass up the shot
