I had an old DA 100 in my 3DHS 104" Slick and was a little underwhelmed with the power. Not that the DA was running bad, on the contrary it ran perfect. The older DA just didn't have the beans to haul the big Slick like I wanted. The DA 120 was a logical upgrade but the price was a little beyond my means at this time. Enter Lee Schantz from Golden Skies Aviation. Lee knew of my predicament and had a possible solution, the DLA 112. I was skeptical at first because I was used to the rock solid reliability and service form Desert Aircraft and didn't want to get "stuck" with an engine if I had an issue. Well Lee informed me that not only is he a DLA retailer but he is also offering service and support as well! So, Lee made me an offer I couldn't refuse and I took delivery of a brand new, red anodized DLA 112. The prop holes and mounting holes all lined up, all I had to do was stand the motor off about 1/4" and I was rolling. I didn't even have to change the throttle linkage. Here's some pics of the mounted engine
