Banggood is starting to sell 3 cell lipo batteries and this a review of tests i did in my models.
Ok just completed testing the new banggood 20c 3 cell 2200mah i use all
types of rc vehicles from planes, helis, multirotor, boats and cars.
also im comparing these to zippy and Turnigy batteries.
ok first off the batteries have very good connectors they come
with xt60 plugs.the wires are very flexible making connections easy
and are properly sized for the amp draw these batteries are capable of.
I first tested it in my tricopter and it performed with no noticeable
difference in performance or flight time to the zippy 45c 2200 or turnigy 30c 2200.
next tried it in my quads with same results. So time to step it up and
plug it into my 450 heli which has a demanding power system.the pinions
and headspeed causes higher amp draw than typical 450. was pleasently surprised
that it even ran in this heli zippy 45c and turnigy 30c
get fairly warm in this heli so i was expecting this battery to
get hot. I was surprised when it wasnt much warmer than my higher c batteries.flight
times were only off by 1 to 2 minutes.I believe the reason is the banggood batteries are
truly rated while my zippy and turnigy are probably over stated which is a
common practice sadly.Next i tried in my boat which uses 3000mah battery 3 cell 30c.
so i knew the run time would be less. it was but only by 3 minutes. Banggoods
battery performed extremely well.Next up was a...Continue Reading

i always admired these lil tugs and decided to build one for a recovery boat. i admit it took much longer than i anticipated. its ot a hard buld just between all my other projects it took longer than i expected.Turned out pretty good.Built from all wood constuction sealed with polyurethane and painted.brushed setup since i dont need speed and i had this laying around for a power setup.used a traxxas shaft and propeelr setup.

This is my Tamiya cr01. I added 4 wheel steering to it. I had to add a hobbyking v tail mixer to make the rear servo turn in the right direction. also added a rc lighting led set with head , tail and 2 spot lights on top of axial roof rack. also added a handmade snorkel made from a bic pen and balsa.also added a homemade rear spare tire mount. waiting on tires to arrive. i added a waterproof box for the electronics made from a radio shack hobby box. esc was getting warm and cutting out so i added a snorkel to the top of the box that reaches to the same height of the roof . so as long as i dont totally submerge it will be fine. i also waterproofed the axles, transmission and servos with form a gasket.i opted to velcro the body to the mounts so no holes looks a lot better.right now has stock motor in it and runs at a very scale speed with plenty of low end torque. dont see a need to upgrade motor right now anyway. this was my first scale build not a hot rod.made a firewood bundle and bundle of rope with home made bungee cords. waiting on scale size charcoal bag and budweiser case of beer to put in roof rack. will update as this progresses. this is a very capable rock crawler or scale trail truck. the locked axles and 4 wheel steering are a must. this model does not turn at all on 2 wheel steering. very fun truck. pricey but super ride.

Well im adding a new rc truck to the boys toys garage. I ordered An SC10 brushless short course truck 2wd from towerhobbies sunday and i expect it tommorrow. I am like a kid at xmas when im waiting on a new vehicle arent we all ? I will post comments and review here when it comes cant wait wooooooooohooooooooooooo got it for $220.00 After all coupon codes and savings from savers club free shipping

Well I have been bashing it for a couple of weeks now. I have to say I love this truck!!!! Its handled everything me and my 10 yr old can throw at it and have yet to break anything. great low center of gravityfor a truck keeps rollovers to a minimum. Jumps better than any rc vehicle i have ever owned and there have been many, way too many over the past 25 years. The brushless setup is really nice. Plenty of power, esc never gets hot and there is no fan on it.this is a real fun truck.I run it more than any of my others for sure. Its 2wd so donuts and drifting on the dirt and pavement is a breeze.I am running a 4400mah 2 cell lipo from hobbypartz. its a 40c 80c burst never gets even warm and runs for a good 25 minutes straight. you willnot regret this purchase

Update::::: I blew the rear end out with the stock setup so i plan to buy a new one most likely and upgraded one.. have to see if a ball diff is availible for it

picked this up in the us wherehouse for 120$ with free shipping. I have read all the reviews that everyone was burning up the stock esc when they went to a 3 cell battery.Still what a great looking fiberglass boat even if I have to change the esc out.!st thing i did was exmine the cooling design. i took off the engine covers and noticed the vinyl hosing was much smaller in diameter to the fittings it was puched on. so off to ace hardware bought some hose that was almost the same size as the fittings and changed out the whole system also redirected the outlet hose straight out the back of the outboard instead of turning it down at a sharp 90 degree angle like it came. feel like this will allow better flow. well maidened it on a 2 cell and it ran fine. planes nicely and even jumps up pops a water wheelie big time when you punch it. top end isnt amazing put scoots nicely. next trip plan on using a 3 cell and i will update how that goes........hopefully not up in smoke

well the 3 cell burnt the esc like so many have reported.. I purchased a 70 amp hobbyking esc with a hobbyking bec seperate. this is holding fine. boat runs very nice smooth speeds with 3 cell.
i changed the motor out with a hobyking brand brushless outrunner for a heli. ALL I CAN SAY IS OMG it flys like never before.if any nterest ill go back and figure out the motor im running. have to eliminate the cooling for motor but its not a problem i just added a few small vent holes in the outboard cover works 1000 times better than stock setup

picked this up this week 3-3-11. I ordered a 35 amp car esc from hobbypartz that hasnt arrived yet so i couldnt wait and pulled the esc out of my stampede from traxxas. It comes arr you need an esc and rx and then its ready to go for $100 what a deal. This kart is very fast, easily as fast as my stampede top speed its almost uncontrolable. its alot of fun very low to the ground with a live rear axle just like a real cart. the driver comes unpainted for you to decorate.carbon fiber chasis with alot of thick aluminum parts complete the frame its built extremely couldnt go wrong with this one.

this and the b25 were my two favorite past war era prop planes. this is a nice plane but the retracts suck. i had to decide which to do. replace them, remove them completely or fix them down permanently. well didnt have any other retracts nor the money right now and i dont like hand launching a bigger plane by myself so down they are. other than that still love it and you cant get any cheaper anywhere of the plane gets an A-

this is a super deal on a nice sized brushless boat. i have had proboat, aquacraft and others. This boat could compete in quality and performance for a fraction of the price. if your looking for a brushless boat you cant go wrong. this boat handles rough water like its not there. plenty of power to cut threw the waves and chop of a very windy day.....about 25 mph coming straight down the lake the wind that is.ran it at top speed through the entire first set of packs with no overheating of the esc or motor great boat. top speed around 40 to 45mph easy

Got these the past month the exi 450tt pro is super smooth flyer needs a 14 to 15t pinion though the 13t standard wont work. The 500 gt is super stable nice flyer. the 250gt is a blast to fly in th front yard where i have little room. handles really well fast lil booger with the high kv motor from hk insane headspeeds.
also my new edf bench tester for thrust. Also added a turnigy watt meter to the tester works great measures amps watts and voltage of the battery love it for testing different fans and motors to get that sweet match

missing here is my Blueray 450 which I have added red annodized head and tail to. sharp looking bird ill see if i can get a pic up here

Just picked up these the f 35 joint strike is from nitro planes .com nice light weght jet. 64mm fan outrunner and some of the highest quality foam finish ive seen. Its from max jet. Then i have an f 18 that i picked up here on the forums. It was just the fuselage. I made a nose cone from foam, installed an art tech fan and inrunner. Made the landing gear from some heavy gauge wire and wah lah. Its a hobby lobby fuselage very small and light for a 64mm jet. I had a f18 from art tech that was much larger so i excpect this to be much faster and more nimble. We shall see.also yes i know the blue angels didnt have missles i just liked the look and added the drop tanks to add more detail which i believe they did have
