I have bought some Liqua-Tape to protect my FPV camera aginst water when landing in high wet grass and moisture from the clouds. I have never used this before, but it seems to work just fine. Now i just need to test it in real life

I finally did finish building my first FPV Groundstation. It draws about 1000mAh and is powered by a 3s Lipo 5000mAh.

I have had some big problems getting my Scherrer LRS, to work with my Futaba T7C. In the beginning I thought that it was the 3 wires (Red,brown, black) in the white connector, that i had to use - but I was wrong ! These 3 wires has to do with the 2.4Ghz RF module, so if you want to turn off your Futaba, transmitting on 2.4Ghz, then you just have to cut the brown wire (power). The black and red wires you can just leave untouched.

With some help from Thomas Scherrer (I live pretty close to him ), he managed to find the right wires to use, with his LRS system.

In the photos attached to this post, you will see that it is the blues wires you have to use, to get it to work. If you solder the 3 wires from the LRS Tx onto the RF module, as I have done, you can go full power without burning some wires, as you would have done, if you used the trainer plug.

This is the first time all my FPV gear, has been put together and tested, but so far only indoor. Hopefully the weather will clear up, and I'm going for some ground tests the next few days.

Today I installed a pitch gyro for my EZ*. I cut a little hole into the side of the fuse, and used a little hotglue to make it stay.

Today was my first flight, with my new camera a Lumix TZ7 / ZS3. I still don't know why, but after just a few sec of full throttle, the motor stopped. My plane and camera survived the landing.

Update - One of the three wires going from the motor to the ESC, was melted. How this happened, I don't know.

Finally I got my new Hyperion 1919-04 motor, mounted on my EasyStar. The ESC is a Hyperion Atlas 35A. The prop is a 6x4E. I haven't had the chance to fly it yet. But I hope to soon.

My PRISM trigger broke down today, so I had to figure out how to create a new trigger. With the PRISM, you are only able to take one shot at a time. With the servo trigger, it is possible to hold down the trigger and keep shooting.

I have not tried this mounting yet, but I hope there will be some calm winds in the next days

Update - It did not work out the way I have hoped. The camera is not pointing enough down.

I went back to Vallensbaek Harbor (Denmark) where I did a job a week ago, but some how the wing was in the picture on all my photos today. I must try to change the camera to facing in front of the plane. All the photos went through photoshop, to get level and adding some adjustment.
