The family and I went to planes of fame down at the Chino Airport yesterday. I will include some photos of BF-109 models for reference if anyone is interested. Museum is top notch. A lot of there aircraft fly as well! I was impressed. I enjoy looking at all of the aircraft, then being able to see memorabilia that accompanied it. Adds a story to the plane and you can see the presence it made to the war effort. What an awesome generation of Americans!

Repainted a phase 3 F-16. I painted it to look like a "Tiger meet" scheme.

I have an HK Texan that my daughter wanted her and I to paint, so we did. I installed the power system from the HK/Skyangel funfighter line of aircraft with a 6x4 prop. Flew it yesterday before the repaint and it was clocked well above 70 mph. I had to reinforce the main wing with a carbon fiber spar to eliminate excess flex of the wing. This plane isn't as stiff as the funfighter planes. Sure beats the stock power set-up....Justwingit said I had a mission to replace the stock motor and turn it into a funfighter....mission accomplished!

I was given an old GWS TA-4 by a friend at our flying site here in Barstow and took it back home and started the touch ups. Filled in some minor dents and dings with some light weight spackle. I had to glue the left aileron back together as well as the upper portion of the rudder. All of the pieces went back together well and set up nicely. I started the paint scheme, which is completely random.

Well, the stuka had an unfortunate incident involving my dx6i losing signal and drove the plane into the ground. All flight control was lost all the way to impact. All the damage was sustained in the front of the nose, and it was only the cowling that was cracked. Slight damage to the right landing gear leg which put a small crack in the wing. Everything has been checked and re fastened if needed. Here are the pictures after I started the repairs. It sustained way less damage than me and justwingit thought after we witnessed the impact! Fortunately this was after the maiden flight....Crashed happened on the second flight of the day. Then maiden couldn't have been any better, a great roll out led to a great non torque roll take off and all the aircraft needed was some right trim!
