This is my first Blog ever!
So, I'll start with my fleet.

All my birds have a mix of Futaba and Hitec servos. Futaba Rx's except where noted. My first radio was a Futaba 6XES however I upgraded to a 9CHP last spring.

Sig Kadet Mk II
This plane deserves a commentary. It was my first airplane given to me in 2002 by my brother in law. It had been half built about 20 years before that. One fuse side was started and the wing was framed up. I finished the build, found a local club, and the rest is history. As luck would have it, the club field was only 7 minutes from where I lived. From being stored for so in various apartments, garages, and storage sheds the wing was warped. I didn't know it was warped until after I learned to fly. My flight instructor said "Damn...this thing is squirrley. If you can learn to fly thing thing you'll be able to fly anything!!" Addicted for life. Right now the Kadet is naked. I stripped it down for a rebuild. I'm converting it to a tail dragger and intend to build a new wing (without the warp) but with some polyhedral. I'm getting rid of the rubber band posts in favor of nylon wing bolts. A new covering job and new cowl will finish it off. For the most part...I'm trying to rebuilt it like the Flyin King from BTE Models. Powered by a GMS 40.

My favorite to fly right now. Symmetrical airfoil plane from This was designed as 3D trainer. I don't think he's selling kits anymore....Continue Reading
