It's been a long day today that started off at 6AM CT. I leave the house and drove for over an hour only to return because I realize I forgot my camera/video equipment .

I really debated about driving back to pick up the gear or not, but thank goodness my sister was kind enough to drive the gear out to me while I back-track back home. We met up near Minooka, IL.

I was suppose to get to Muncie sometime around 11AM ET, but didn't get in until well after 2pm ET and began the madness to setup the gear and trim my plane for the wind here in Muncie.

So I was able to attend the SOAR monthly contest and learn a few things about ballast, light lift, min sink and best L/D sometimes all of that in the same flight.

It was the toughest conditions I have ever flown in on a mostly overcast day and flying 8 rnds of 10min and 1rd of 12 min.

I didn't do well, but am very happy to experience the challenging conditions.

Here are some pics.
