thinking im going to try and build one. use the 160 1s turnigy lipos, the champ brick, and a air hogs fan with the 8.5mm motor in it. hopefully i can keep the auw under 25 grams, shooting for about 20grams.

ordered another 5g motor from hobbyking. when it gets here ill have 2 and start on a dornier arrow in about 1/28 scale(same as parkzone um warbirds). should end up weighing around 100gs. gonna be pretty big andf ast but im excited. i have a stick and tissue plan and a paper model. gonna use parts from both to get a nice looking plane. going to do fixed landing gear and 4ch control. also on 2s. i was thinkng about using parkzone mosquito gear but i would need to buy a parkzone mosquito and thats $100 i don't have right now lol. ill probably do it at another time though. can't have to many arrows

edit: well looking at weights some more the 2s brushless one would be way too heavy. going to go with 4site brick and servos, 2 mustang motor/gearboxes with mosquito props and a pixie 7amp esc. that will get the weight down to around 70~80 grams instead of 110~120 grams.

starting on a p-59. going to use the comet stick and tissue plan but swap 2 and 3 mm depron for the wood. covering will be either 1mm depron or wallfoam. it will use 2 js fans and the mcx brick. rudder/elevator for simplicity and weight. shooting for an auw under 35 grams. hopefully closer to 30. ealier tests showed swapping the wood for depron gave me a skeleton fuse(no skin) weighing about 3 grams. so i should be able to hit my weight target.

found a tunnan stick and tissue model. gonna convert it to foam and use an ar6400, a 2g servo, and a brushless 1s edf(2dog clearence ones). have full 4ch control. im going to use 2mm depron in place of balsa. then its going to be covered in either 1mm depron or hopefully wallfoam. i might also try a version on a echarger fan with sp motor and ar6400 with just rudder elevator and see how light i can make it.

got my citabria i bought from somebody else on here. immediently junked the stock electronics and replaced the motor and brick with my vapor gear. also had to make a new tail($store foam plates ) but that was easy. flies great, kinda fat. just the way i like my planes. fat and cute.

hmm i'm debating trying a p-38 for parkzone gear. maybe 2 playmate (cheaper) gearboxes or 2 cub gearboxes(parkzone). along with duel aileron servos(like the 4-site), and steerable nosewheel(from the trojan). and then just run a pushrod straight form the brick to the elevator(ugly but simple and not too noticable). i want to try and use just parkzone equipment but the playmate gearboxes are a lot cheaper and a little stronger than the cub ones.
mostly build it from the paper model plans on fiddlersgreen. use 1mm foam or foam dinner plates for tail surfaces. make the wings from 1mm maybe 3mm. do an undercamber wing like the mustang and trojan. probably build the prototype from 1mm depron and work from there. also debating starting with a profile and filling in then sanding with some packing styrofoam i have. but that would probably be more complivated than just modding the paper model. anyway if anybody has some suggestions i'd love to hear them. not going to put anything up in the forums till i at least have an airframe built.

so im planning on converting the x-32 card model i found into foam and i want to try to get it to fly on a js fan with elevons. shouldn't be too hard. has a large wing and a reasonably simple ducting. the other is a v-173 flying pancake. its just too cool. want to make it run off of either 2 cub motor/gearboxes or 2 playmate motor/gearboxes and elevons. would be quite an interesting plane

finally found a place with cardmodels of the meteor. and as bonus i also found they had an english electric canberra. yay, been looking for a while. gonna see how they go together on paper and if its up to par(it looks like it from looking at the parts layout) its gonna be a fun project turning it into foam. gonna try the meteor first probably. twin 30mmjs fans? probably and with the canberra im not sure. might try twin 55s until i can get the gws40 fans to make a smaller one.

i'm starting on a do-335. its wingspan will be around 16 inches. i'm gonna be running it on 2 playmate gearboxes with an ar6400. its gonna have ailerons elevator rudder and a steerable nose wheel(thats gonna be complicated i can tell). i'm just waiting for the gearboxes and some other bits and pieces now. i have the airfame cut out.
