Went to an airshow yesterday . Lots of cool planes . Military finally sent some planes to fly but not much military in static other than WWII . It was real cool to see a Harrier in person and what it can do ....Continue Reading

After sitting around in pieces for so long , I finally got this thing back together . I picked it up for free from a buddy that sold me my 30% Yak54 . It was well needed experience learning to put a broken fuse back together . Especially when learning 3D .

- Turnigy 50-55a 400kv (switched to ValueHobby G-32-800kv)
- Hobbywing 60 amp esc(switched to Turnigy TZ-85)

- 2x Hitec HS-225hb (Ailerons)

(Trial on 2200's to get a flight time and project size needed)
-15x8 APC(Now use a 15x6e APC)

Getting about 1100 watts at 20volts and pulling 54amps WOT

We all eventually have accidents . This happened to my dad . We later found condensation in the fuel and found that to be the problem for engine failure . Keeping fuel in a metal can vs. a plastic jug could help reduce this from occuring . It was a pretty funny accident though and we did fix the plane .

Whats even funnier is it flys better now than before .

Flew for about 10hrs total . Not enough power running it on 3s . Set it up for 4s and it became a rocket . Never liked the charactoristics of this bird as far as 3D goes but it was a wicked sport flyer on 4s. Tore it down to use some of the electronics on the Extra .

Turnigy 40 amp ESC
4 x hs-65hb servos
13x6.5 APC

My first trip to the Reno Air Races . Great experience and fun . Everyone must do it at least once if you love airplanes . It is the only full-scale pylon race event in the USA . I had more pics but I didn't want to be a memory hog. ...Continue Reading

Great sport or pattern flyer . 3D it is not . Made a tank craddle and added a bottom hatch to ease in motor changes . Crashed the plane on the 7th flight and tore the bottom out and motor due to a deadstick . Finally sent the crappy OS back and installed a real engine . Had problems with analog and digital servo interference and the 9252 not working properly with a pull-pull system . Couldn't ever keep the OS running . Went through a lot of crap to get this one up but learned quite a bit from it . Now I have a nice flying sport plane .

Futaba 9ch PCM Rx

New Bird on the Block . It's the last of it's kind . I knew I'd get around to building it one day . Got 7 flights on it now and already enjoy it much more than the Yak54e . Might be the lighter setup and it doesn't snap out so easy .
Crazy power . Will probly prop down to a 11x6 to drop watts a little . NOT!

Turnigy 35-36 1100Kv
4 x HS-65hb
Older AirBoss 45 amp ESC
12x6 APC
