It was bound to happen sooner or later I guess, but it was kinda sad. I lost my E-Flite TaylorCraft 450 today. Been flying this litlle puppy for 3 years now? Flew it so much I completely run the tread off the Dubro tires I have on it. Never did ever bend the LG on it. Some hanger rash here & there, lost a tailwheel, a few props doing touch-n-gos and the usual stuff.

We had a little wind and I turned a downwind base leg going for a final approach. Given I turned downwind for the base leg, I'm 99% sure that led to a stall about 20' up. Broke the tail in two, crushed the motor mount, ruined the cowl and some other damage here & there. It's rebuildable I guess but I doubt I will. For $125.00 I sure got my moneys worth out of it. Bye-Bye little TC! sniff!!!

BUT!!!! I have a NIB $130.00 one sitting in the closet and a new Motrolfly motor/esc ready for it.

Ever see, or do, a field setup wherein you have to plug your wings in and have your ailerons reversed? You do a preflight check but your brain is dead because you've set the bird up a thousand times. The ailerons move but an AWShit moment is about to occur in the first few seconds after take off. Here's a solution. It's long winded (4 pages) and costlier in $ and time but guarantees you won't hook your wings up incorrectly.
