Being obsessed with brushless whoop I just had to gomahead and order one of these.
https://www.banggood.com/Happymodel-...244425201308OD

It's an absolute bargain at just over 70 if you get the standard version with 3 batteries AND a 6 port charger.
Receiver is built in too so very small and light.
Brushless whoop is the future in my opinion.

If anyone is thinking about a whoop then THIS is the one to get I think, especially for indoors with it being same size as a normal whoop and no brushed motors to wear out.

The slightly bigger one was tempting too but I already have 3 75mm brushless whoops lol
https://www.banggood.com/Happymodel-...244425201308OD
Same price though and probably a little better outside ..

I also have another brushless whoop in the 65mm size on the way from hobbycool http://hobbycool.com?afmc=2j and will be putting a xm+ on it so full range brushless whooping in tiny format!

Well couldn't resist getting these for $55 but $21 post on top , still a bargain and there are lots of bargain quads on there sale too, I would have got another quad or two but I have enough already and a few still to build...

No affiliate link or anything, just linking for the good of others!
Let me know if anyone finds more deals there.
I like a bargain lol!

I wanted a spare set of goggles pref with DVR , these don't have DVR but do have av out so hopefully I can plug in my small DVR to record.

Will update when they arrive.

As some of you might know I've been flying brushless whoops a lot lately and have tried standard boldclash b06 first which was ok but needed more power and osd and d shot, on my recommendation boldclash made the changes and upped the motor kv from 15000kv to 20000kv and changed FC to d shot and osd along with buzzer and LEDs control.
I built one from their parts and it flew much better and I was very happy, then betafpv came out with a similarl one but still used 15000kv but with 4 bladed props to make up the power, again with d shot and osd.
So which is best I hear you ask?
Well here are some videos both inside and outside flying similar course and style to help decide purely from performance point of view , at the bottom of the videos I will give my thoughts.
I warn you it is very close and you will need to look hard to notice the difference but there are some important differences and depending on where you are flying will be relevent to your decision ..

Akktek have sent me their first brushless race quad and asked me to review it.
And obviously I am doing that here ...
My conclusion before you read it all is this really is a great quad for the money with real usefulness as a starter racing quad or a cheap basher with decent power/size.
With the emphasis on cheap price the quality is still good, it's a big strong quad by the looks of it but it's weighty at 190grams plus battery

This is the base version from akktek of the cicada 180 fpv quadcopter.
Very cheap racing quad ( $100 Inc post at time of purchase)
Value for money and a great way for a beginner to get started.

Silverware is awsome ( check out my other videos of me flying it ) for acro flying little toy quads and here is an option to have it without needing to flash anything which requires usb tools and can be a pain for some people.
Betafpv have released a FC already flashed with silverware , they also have multiprotocol tx module so check them out.
Jumper have released a multiprotocol tx module which I have tested here too.( Before I had built one from Arduino etc )
Between them it means anyone can have a silverware quad ready to acro with no fuss, and even tune pids if you need to via gestures.
It flies really well, perfectly tuned for the b03 size whoop.
It can also be flashed with updated firmware if need be. Just use the boldclash b03 silverware version.

One tx module to control all of my RC toys with my taranis!!!
Worked right out of the box and no need to update anything apart from your taranis fw!( Unless you are like me and want to tweak settings a bit )

This jumper 4in1 multimodule tx from here http://hobbycool.com?afmc=2j hobbycool , check it out for Los of other really cool stuff.

Module http://hobbycool.com/jumper-jp4in1-module/ just arrived and I have updated it with my preferences and this is going to be a review on the module and build quality etc as well as bit of a "how to" update the module.(which was not quite as easy as the github instructions and needed a little extra information which I will put at the end of this review. )
It is based on the fantastic DIY multiprotocol tx module work here https://github.com/pascallanger/DIY-...ocol-TX-Module
Opening the box everything was well packed and no damage ,
A visual inspection of the board revealed soldering to be of good quality and no bad joints that I could see.
I already had my taranis loaded with multi module enabled on opentx 2.2 because I have built a module myself before I got this one so to get it working was simply case of plugging it into my tx module bay.

TIP 1
If the module does not push in easily as mine didn't , remove the 4 screws and remove the cover then loosen the 2 screws inside a little and carefully line up the module again moving the board a little till it lines up and push it into place, now tighten the 2 screws and fit...Continue Reading

Akk eio DVR fpv camera first test indoors (1 min 32 sec)

Ok my first test of the akk EIO recorded directly on the camera on sd card.
Look pretty good , no lag in the fpv footage that I could tell.
Picture quality is ok, better on the recorded video than the YouTube upload, guess yt reduced quality quite a bit there for some reason.
Light handing was ok, but as all these camera struggled a little with the direct sunlight streaming in through the windows but still very flyable.
I will upload more soon.

Currently only 12 but normally only 15 odd anyway so absolute bargain in my book.

Here is the same video but via Vimeo because youtube compressed and messed up the video so much I thought I better show it in a better light.

I got this from banggood to compliment my taranis for taking out with me when I don't want to carry a big bulky tx,
It comes with a futaba reciever but I flashed it with frsky firm ware so I can use it with my frsky quads.
I knew it would not be same quality as my taranis so did not expect much from the gimbals to be honest and it turned out that my expectations were about right....
The gimbals are defo better than any stock toy tx I have used but does still feel very toy like and there seems to be a dead band programmed in to cover the poor centering of such gimbals which makes flying acro indoors on my b06 brushless whoop very difficult, however in level mode it's fine and perfectly flyable indoors, I think outside in acro it would be fine too.
It's small but not too small like the supplied toy txs and fits my hands ok.

There are 2 aux channels accessed via back buttons,
One is on off the other has 3 positions, useful for flight modes and buzzers.

Some pictures, as you can see the finish is quite nice and it seems sturdy and well made.

Just recieved another akk delivery, fast as usual and all in good working order.

Got my favourite bs2 camera but this one has osd option connections for easy adding of osd from betaflight boards etc.
Also the eio ( everything in one ) fpv camera and vtx which has DVR built into it for clear recordings independent of signal strength.
Lastly 2 aio cameras which have OSD built into the cameras!

Some pics here and video to follow when weather cheers up some..

Insane 19000kv motors and new 300mah batteries in my boldlcash b03 acro silverised quad fpv. (2 min 44 sec)

Motors. https://goo.gl/EpZsu7 $8.50 a set of four, a bargain for such performance.

Batteries from same boldclash site are the 300mah b03 pro 35 to 70c ones!

Huge improvement in performance for my tired b03 stock motors and batteries.

Note i did do the motors first and speed was great but on some old batteries I got corner dipping and around 3 to 3.5 Mon flight times, with new batteries too I got no corner dipping and even more speed and flight times are over 4 minutes.

Highly recommend this upgrade to anyone.
Oh and of course I fly on acro silverware and will be doing a how to on that soon.

Just short unboxing video, will build with these later on and upload video of each respectively once done and written review here on my blog but for now I can say that everything looks good as usual with boldclash and akk tech.

Boldclash pcb antenna looks good and tested fine a quick check walking around the house and garden.
The akk fx2 fx3 and X5 are all different sizes of vtx which support betaflight osd control of frequency and power levels.
I've been very impressed with boldclash and akk tech and they are my main supplier of parts for my quads these days, be sure to check them out, both make quality products and reasonable prices and I've not been disappointed with anything I bought from either of them.
Here are some links to purchase.

Just been informed that there is a boldclash b06 whoop on its way to me which is a total redesign of the b05 with a aio FC and ESC and should be a great indoor brushless quad at last, just in time too hopefully because it's getting a bit cold outside here in the UK!

I've looked at specs and reviews and it seems like it should be great for indoors with the prop guards but still have enough power to have some fun outside too, though obviously not as much as my 2s bamboo rocket which is just waaay too fast for indoors or even the garden lol..

Edit, first Los video
