I tried shooting some video with my DSLR camera. These are the best ones. Sorry they are so shakey, really tough to do on that camera. They are all in HD so make sure you click the little Gear icon on the lower right of the video to change the quality setting in YouTube.

After about 6 crashes on several planes, I discovered that the HURC RX's that I was using are faulty. I contacted, where I got them, and they indicated that they had issues with these and had stopped carrying the product. They are sending me new Power Up RX's to replace my bad ones, free of charge. Now, that's some pretty decent customer service. Too bad they don't cover repairs for broken planes though!

I used my 808 #16 on my hat and onboard my Parkzone Extra 300 and WingThing II. I think I have a battery problem because both of the onboard shots died a few minutes in. Still trying to figure this thing out.

This morning I got to go out in 10-15mph winds and fly my Tower Hobbies P-51 Mustang. The last time I flew, it had a water landing and I had to take the motor apart and clean it up. She flew great. Here are 2 videos shot from an 808 #16 HD cam on my hat. Nothing really spectacular here, just a plane flying in heavy wind. Made for an interesting landing.

A while back Lectroglide (Foam-Tec R/C) gave me a WingThing II flying wing. I finally got it flying right after several crashes early on. This morning, I attached my 808 #16 HD keychain cam to it and shot this video. It was really windy this morning and this thing just cut right through it. Enjoy!

This weekend I got to fly my UM T-28 with my 3 year old nephew. I was making passes with it using my 808 cam and he came out to watch. I remembered that I had my extra DX4e in the car so I grabbed it. I didn't have my buddy box cable, and his attention span wasn't long enough to have him ACTUALLY fly with me, but I gave him the transmitter and told him he was helping me fly. We did rolls and loops, flew inverted and even made some low and slow fly-bys. He had a blast, as evidenced by the attached pics. You should have seen the way he was working the sticks! He was so focused on them that I had to remind him that the plane was in the air. Anyway, I hope that some day soon I'll be able to let him fly for real.

I picked up this UM P-51 cheap on eBay the other day. It had more issues than I thought, so I decided to have some fun with it. My brother is always talking about how good a shot he is with a pistol, so when we were out shooting guns the other day, I decided to let him take some shots at my little bird. Actually, the plan was to let each person (5 of us) take 1 shot each as I flew it by low and keep taking turns till someone took it down. Anyway, my brother was first up and this is a video of how it went down...

Just stuck it on my UM T28 and took off. Pretty cool. Just need to mount it different so the prop isn't causing the window blind affect. Probably going to put it on a bigger bird. But so far, I really love this thing!

Well, I got my first plane (UMX Beast) in February of this year. I think someone failed to tell me something, because I think planes must breed like rabbits. I think I have a sickness. So, as you can imagine, I am running out of space. I've piling them on my boat, but I'd like to use it someday, so I made some hangers. Here's some of my fleet. The rest are micros in boxes.

This weekend I was flying in Phoenix and decided to let my 4.5 month old daughter fly a bit. She just grabbed the stick and went full trottle, just like her daddy! These are the moments that make life worth living!

I picked up a Blade 450 a few weeks back and it needed a little TLC. My only other heli is an MCPX, so this is a big step. I am using Phoenix, but certainly not ready for anything other than tail in hovering. So last night, with training gear installed, I hovered until the battery died!!!! No big issues. Just trimmed it as it drifted and it did pretty well! Still gonna be a while before I'm comfortable with it. That thing scares me!!

I had the day off of work today and got to fly in pretty calm weather and clear skies. I flew my Great Planes Yak 55 - so fun, Hobbyzone Champ and my new (free replacement) MCPX V2. I had a blast!

I was able to crash the Yak nose first from 10' up at full speed. It's gonna need some work :-).

Then the MCPX, I haven't ever done much flying in open spaces, so I took it up and went nuts with it! I flipped it several times and crashed a bunch - no damage though. Below is one landing that I had when it got a little away from me.

Then I got home and tried to repair the Yak with Welders glue and forgot that it melts styrofoam. We'll just have to see what happens now...
Overall, not a bad day.

Note to self. Stop using Welders on planes without testing it out first. It's not good when you melt the wing in half!

After several attempts at smaller sizes, I'm finally ready to build a 32". I've actually got it almost done. Just need to install control horns and pushrods and get a prop and she's ready to go!

That is all.

I am new to R/C and have only been flying for about 6 months. I have a Blade MCP X Heli and a UMX Beast 3D AS3X. I just acquired a Hyperion P51 Mustang that I'm trying to finish. I'm also looking to build a ultra-micro 3D foamy soon.

Here's a link to my YouTube channel with some Beast videos.
