What a great day... today our club hosted a fun fly day at our field with a club form Benton County (Corvallis area) what a blast we had...BBQ burgers and hot dogs were on the menu as well as many awsome side dishes. Kudos to all the chef's today...I had the chance to visit with most all that attended the fun fly, lots of great stories were swaped...I took my 40size trainer and the new S.P.A.D. I only flew Twice today because I hade so much fun visiting with the Dod fighter did not get to make it's debut oh well...later I anyways I built 3 extra dog fighters for backup planes but I decided to sell em instead and the were gone in no time. I took em with me and set them out with the finished one... We had 2 or 3 planes that went down but all and all we saw some darn good flying today. Man what a blast... I posted some pics enjoy. and all you Benton County guys thanks for coming up and flying with us hope we can do it again sometime......Continue Reading

Well all right I was able to maiden the new Dog Fighter today... I had a club member Ryan help me out. we fired it up and I let him fly it cuz he fly's 3-d and sports planes. I have herd of him before, but just meet him today, what a great kid... so any ways I have trust in him..and let him at the sticks sure glad I did... he got it up and trimmed out wow it was great to see it fly. After that we broke a prop and it was done for the day....good thing I broght my trainer, flew it around and had a great time.

I was soon informed that the 700 club was on their way to the field...I ask 700? well that is a group of guys that fly the Trex 700's, there was 4 or 5 of em and wow they are good...what a show... any ways I posted pics enjoy...

Well ok, I got a new radio the other day from a club member. I figuered it is time to step up and get something I can do some mixing on. I wanted the duel rate option and digital programing. after further research I found this might not be the best choice for airplane use, but it seems to work for now, I haven't hooked up any retracts or flaps to it but I think it will do it any ways I have it talking to my planes and I will give it a try this weekend.......

We had our monthly club meeting last night, so I was able to finish work early and go to the field, get some flying in before the meeting. I guess I was not the only one who had that idea lol. Matt and his son Nate were first to get there and they brought a 33% Extra and a couple of 3D helis... way cool these guys can really fly em. They are AMA members who fly at their own field at their house or should I say farm, but they love to fly for spectators so we got them to join our club. Our newest members. Then a few more showed up, before too long everyone was there and the meeting started I got caught up in visiting so I didn't get a lot of pics...I posted a couple of pics and video of Matt flying his Trex. sorry about the video quality....enjoy

Well the wind finely let up enough to maiden the Dog Fighter. woke up and it was the most perfect day, so I loaded up the SuperStar40 and the Dog Fighter and headed to the field. I fired up the 40 and flew it to get me ready for the new plane. then I fired up the .25 and tunned it in. I tried the Dog Fighter twice, but it just would not fly the only thing I can think of it is the prop. I put a 10x6 on it and I think thats my prob, I need to pick up a 9x6 and 8x6 and try again. I didn't want to trash the plane, so I quit trying.
I ended up flying my trainer all day and had a blast. I was getting ready to leave when another guy showed up and he had a 60 size trainer, he said he hadn't flown for 5 or 6 years, but he was working on his simulator. Take off went well, and the flight was nice, but he lost it at the end and ended up landing on top of our bathroom building and it rolled off the roof...soooo funny when we got to the plane we discovered the landing gear riped off and the tail was damaged a bit. It can be fixed...what a day
