my new (to me) lathe, with DRO (digital read-out) for making stand-offs, bushings, or anything else I might need for my planes...
And....Recently, I bought an older "Kondia" mill, and have just finished doing some refurbishing on it....here are some some pics of before and after.....It had sat in a guys garage for about 30 years, and while he didn't "abuse" it, he sure didn't take that great of care of it. So it took a bit of work to make it even halfway presentable....not the "prettiest Belle at the ball", but certainly usable!!
Finally, got it all finished,(check out pic # 7) with a new switch, a 3 Axis DRO (digital readout) and also a digital readout on the quill also!!
I decided to add a few pics of the rest of my shop, please excuse any mess you might see, as I have pretty much run out of room for some things....
In my opinion, you can never have enough tool cabinets/drawers, and I like to have my tools within easy each when working on things. So.. I had bought the tool cabinet on the left under my work bench a while back, but quickly filled it up with tools in the top drawer, adhesives in the second drawer, hardware, etc. in the third drawer, and sand paper in the bottom drawer. Unfortunately, even with some of my modeling tools in my large tool cabinet, I had a lot of my modeling hand tools buried by other modeling hand tools, so I had been wanting another of these cabinets.
