Halloa people

sooo.. what are your experiences with Hubsan? Maybe you've never had one eventhough they Are pretty popular To me Hubsan is a value brand in the entry-level quad flying arena.. All Hubsan quads I've flown required only a minimum of prior knowlidge of quads, at a reasonable price..

Recently they released their X4 Jet, which is aimed at people that would like to have a go at that FPV drone flying, but who don't want to build and/or think that the Betaflight stuff will just be to complicated for them..
Hubsan will probably tell you something ellse, but I think this quad really is Only for people that haven't FPV-ed before...

Link to this new quad: Hubsan H123D X4 Jet - RTF Brushless FPV Quad

I'll be publishing a couple of video's on this quad.. To start things.. here is my detailed Show & Tell of it:

Halloa guys & girls

2018 is nearing it's end so I thought I'd answer a question I get asked a lot:
what is your favo drone?? I have flown a lot of quads this year, so it would seem like a difficult pick between them?
It was actually surpricingly easy though I did pick 3..

Here is my Top-3 for this year Offcourse I'd very much like to see what Your favo's are

Halloa people

so you probably know the FlySky brand.. Right? And you know them from affordable radio's, which do work well and are quite popular as well. What you wouldn't know FlySky for is higher end radio that come with braging rights
A couple of months ago I saw some first renderings of the new Noble transmitter and I was instantly impressed I ordered one as soon as it became available..

Link to the radio: FlySky FS-NB4 Noble surface radio

Some pictures of it then:

The Noble transmitter uses a new AFHDS3 protocol and that means the old AFHDS2 receivers don't work with this radio. Regretably you can't set the radio to use that older protocol..
That means you do allso need new receivers with this radio. Those are available by now:
Link to them: FlySky FS-GR4 4-channel receiver

And here are my findings on this transmitter

Halloa guys & girls

in case you follow my YT channel, you probably know I like the GepRC brand.. I've had quite a nr. of quads / frames from that company.. So far they have all had a smart design and the materials used were of good quality (probably an understatement)..
And today.. I came across a new 3 inch quad that comes with a Runcam Split 1080P recorder Stock :|
Not only that.. the frame has a really smart design IMHO.. It has more room-to-spare in it then most 5 inch quads have

Hi there guys,

Another radio? What do I need another radio for huh? Well to be honnest I definately don't NEED an extra radio, but I do like flying toy-grade quads around (indoors).
Those quads usually come with pretty nasty radio's, so to upgrade that experience I opted for this new Jumper T12 with Multi Protocol Module

The radio is even available with Hall Effect gimbals (the Plus version) but I opted for the base model myself.

Link to both versions: Jumper T12 (plus) low-cost radio with lots of protocols

In this topic I'll let you know what my experience with this radio is like, but I'd allso be very interested to read Your findings..
First an intro with my initial impressions of the radio:

Halloa guys

sooo yes.. a new version of FPV Freerider.. An FPV (quad) flying sim as you probably know.. Freerider has been my sim of choise for several years by now, so I was excited to check out it's new version.. Which is now available on steam by the way..

Link to it: https://store.steampowered.com/app/8...FPV_Freerider/

And the biggest addition in this new version is a track generator.. A what?? This generator creates 'random' FPV racing tracks.. Quite fun actually

This set IS an RC by the way.. It actually uses a 2.4Ghz system for control..

Hi there people

Howdy people

soooo this debate has heated up quite a bit lately There is that new FlySky Nirvana radio right, and they have a regular-size radio coming up as well..
What are your thoughts on this? What is the better ecosystem at this moment?

Here is a (SHORT!) video I made on this subject

FRSKY vs FlySKY ! :O - Heated Topic :O (1 min 52 sec)

Hi there people

this thread will be more less a combo of a review and log of the development for this new FlySky radio..
At the moment I start this thread the firmware isn't really ready, so I'll post updates on that as we go along..
Obviously others are more then welcome to post their findings / thoughts / updates!

Link to this radio: FlySky NV14 Nivana drone / FPV radio

So the NV14 Nirvana huh? It is a radio specifically designed for drone / FPV pilots. Does that mean the radio can't be uses for planes / heli's etc? It definately can AND I will test that.. Regardless of that I think it's refreshing to see a company try a design that's very different from what we are used to

To start things.. Here are my (current) first thoughts on this transmitter.. I've done my best to make this as unbiased / objective / honnest as possible:

FlySky NV14 NIRVANA Transmitter - P1: INTRO (21 min 57 sec)

Updates on this sage will follow shortly

Halloa people

I didn't come across an owners / general discussion topic on this quad / drone, so now there IS one I guess
Is this the actuall quad with a FrSky sticker on it? Not completely.. I'm aware of one before this: the Frsky Apus MQ60.. a tyni-woops like quad..

SO! Now FrSky are going to be making a serious FPV quad of their own.. The Vantec BQ210.. Obviously BNF with a FrSky receiver..
Aparantly there is still $$ in making BNF quads.. One could be forgiven to think the market is kinda saturated (?)

Some pictures then

Halloa guys

I got me a new FPV goggle in last week, so I have set about testing the thing It is a box-style goggle, and I should tell you that my current daily driver is the TopSky F7X v2, which is offcourse a Fatshark style of goggle..
I think most people never give box-goggle a second look after switching to Fatshark-style goggles, so I really wonder if the FXT Viper has a chance of converting me :P

LInk to this new V2 version: FXT Viper v2 - Box style FPV goggle

So basically most tests I'll do are to see if these goggles are something I would want to be my daily drivers.. If I like them at all, I'll at least use them exclusively for a month so I can do a long-term-review for you..

For now.. I've only done a bit of flying around with them.. here is what that looked like:

Halloa people

in case you have come across my channel lately, you probably know I like the KHX5 Elegant frames from GepRC quite a bit.. By now I have build 3 quads with that frame..
BUT.. now there's allso a BNF / PNF version of it, for those of us that just wanna fly instead of building the quad themselves

Link to this quad: GepRC KHX5 Elegant BNF / PNF version

Excellent! The drawback of a ready-made quad is offcourse that you can't pick & chose the components yourself.. So has GepRC done a good job at that for us??
