Proof of concept for a carbon fiber space frame for a 24" model continues. Made of a mix of 1K tow and .010" and 0.030" commercial rod.

I will be adding upper/lower diagonals to this but wanted to capture the interesting movement of the truss in torsion.

Quite a bit more construction and reinforcement will be added but it just under 1g currently.

Bit random BUT very relevant to my fpv quad flying as it will allow me to cheaply and easily get out and about further afield to fly my fpv quads which I can simply chuck in a rucksack and effortlessly explore the Yorkshire area with that electric assist to help out up the hills ( which are considerably steel and plentiful in Yorkshire lol )

$500 Fiido d3s electric"folding" bike ebike with Shimano gear and disc brakes (7 min 8 sec)

My affiliate link for this bike

Coupon code to buy it for $510 BGFDD3SEU

Affiliate link for all ebikes etc at banggood.

I will make some videos of the rides too when I get an idea of where to best ones are and can do them without stopping every 2 minutes to figure out where I'm going lol.
Yesterday I did 30 miles on it mostly on the wonders of wakefield cycle route which was meant for mountain bikes but this managed it ok and I only used the power for the hills and when I got tired , still had 4 out of 5 bars of power left when I got home!

It has a range of pure power to about about 15 miles but with pedaling it's looking like I could go for as long as I want just use the power to take the pain out of the hills.
Has proper 6 speed Shimano gears and disc brakes and though the wheels are small they are wide decent tyres with good grip and strong enough to handle the rough ground and pot holes we have around here.

I'm 5ft 10 and it is ok for me to ride size wise and of course goes much smaller and also folds down a bit to fit in a car but doesn't fold in half which is good and bad, good in that it makes it stronger but bad in that it won't fold as small.
A couple of pics from my ride out.

First attempt and making a night flyer and I think it is a success! Not only does it work well but it also looks very cool and catches eyes. Motor is a 29 gram 1000kv on a 3 cell, 5&9 gram servos, 10 amp esc, 12v LEDs red white and blue. And a 2 or 3 cell to run the lights

I have the R9 and have bound using the 9-16 with telem. I am using sbus to my vector. However vector will not allow flaps so I am trying to hook my flaps to channel 7&8 via pwm. The servos are getting power but they will not respond to me switch. I had the same setup with the R8 and it worked. I bound the R9 over the R8. Any ideas?

Having fun in a vineyard with Happymodel's new Larva X. Footage was recorded on the internal DVR of the Diamond VTX. I'm still a nooby, but I'm improving fast :-)

Here is a link to the Video:

I was going to wait until the next episode of "The Pilot's Lounge" to post this information but thought I should post it while it's still fresh.

I have used the SkyRC D100 V1 Balance Charger for approx. 3 years now.
It has been a fantastic charger ;-)
So why did I get the V2 Charger?
Well, I have used my V1 a lot for the past 3 years and now the Stop Button is getting a bit problematic.
I have to depress the Stop Button in just the right spot to get it to actuate.
I suspect the Printed Circuit Board is worn under that button.
After contacting and getting a reply on the second email I sent to SkyRC I was told they had no spare printed circuit boards.
I suspect there are no spare parts for these chargers at all, so keep that in mind.

They are fantastic chargers and I like then a lot and will most likely be looking for another SkyRC Charger in the future when need arises.

(39 min 42 sec)

NOTATAZ : 17.5/20 Une bonne Radio

Niveau : Débutants et Confirmés
Les + : Bonne qualité et finitions, Menu très complet, Simple à utiliser, Bonne ergonomie, Bonne réception, Nombreux réglages Gimbal .
Les - : Protocole unique FHSS WFLY
