RC model of YAMAHA's experimental hydrofoil OU32 manufactured in 2008.
At the time of production, it was only possible to sail in a straight line, but in 2020 this year, the hydrofoil system was completely refurbished to enable free turning movement as it surfaced. Its appearance is like a fighter running on the surface of the water.

2 full days of soldering yielded the fully wired truck with mockup of the user interface panel. A mane power switch was deemed essential, given the number of servo & bluetooth radio glitches which require resets. The mane power switch doesn't cut off the 2nd battery, though. The 2nd battery feeds in through the accessory connector & the hope was to rarely have a 2nd battery.

The user interface panel was envisioned hanging off the cargo area, encapsulating all the LEDs, radios, & switches. It eventually should also contain the debug header. It was a complicated wiring job.

XK A430 did not die today (7 min 18 sec)

That gyro Blows !

Calibrating the gyro does nothing !
I kept raising the nose higher an higher and zip / nada / zero effect on the A430 hunting the ground .
Really is challenging to fly a model when it hunts terrible firmness .

More problems !
Those foam hinges are giving up .. I had to use a fair amount of tape to fix the issue ..
I would recommend taping them before flying , especially as I have only flown twice now .

Why do I keep getting rubbish XK planes .. I have 4 and every one has had issues ( PROBLEMS ) .
And looks like this XK A430 is not the exception to this troubling trend .
I dare say this will be my last XK product . I think XK has gone out of it's way to earn some distain ! ( Well done )

This Ender 2 3d printer is over 3 years old now. However, I like it due to its small size. Therefore, I decided to upgrade it with the aim to make it more silent and precise. Upgrades include:
-silicone hotend sock
-borosilicate glass bed
-new springs
-heat insulation
-stepper motor damper
-TL smoother
-Noctua silent fans

Hello good people,

It is very strange and amazing that I have acquired a super nice Carl Goldberg Tiger-2 (61-Inch Wing Span) from a nice gentleman locally (Used) and primarily Glow Powered back in April 2013 and it captured my eye saying to myself when in the heck I am going to get this model in the air and most importantly Electric. Well, a few days ago I finally dusted off the model and actually started on this project.

This is where it all started!
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...erg-Tiger-2-40

This thread is pretty much after the fact as I have already considered several Power Systems and the one that stood out was the Model Motors AXi 2826/10 with 920Kv and Castle Creations Thunderbird 36 (36-AMP). Since this is a Sport Model, I am going for Airspeed and selected the XOAR Glow wood 10 X 7 propeller that will provide a good amount of propeller RPMs using 3-Cells, 2600mAH - 3300mAH Lithium Polymer battery packs.

Glow-To-Electric Design Considerations:

This model has a very long FUSE Tail boom, however, it is not entirely solid balsa / light ply sheet with wood (Coffin) as it does have cut-out contours for weight savings but, it still has a long FUSE tail boom nonetheless. The Main Landing gear has been bent towards the rear which tells me that the model on the ground will try to tip (rotate) rearwards if you don't keep throttle or if it goes over a bump it will tend to sway rearwards as I have seen in other Glow-To-Electric conversions (Yes,...Continue Reading

The XLF F16 is a Ready To Run (RTR) 1:14 scale 4WD off road Radio-controlled racing buggy. It notably includes a very large 550 sized brushless motor and a number of 'upgrade' metal components including suspension arms and knuckles. The brushed version as reviewed here retails for around $100 and has options with one or 2 batteries.

Here is my in-depth review and comparison to the highly regarded WL Toys 144001 with which it competes:

After 2 separate flying days and watching a fellow club member tweak and fly this plane, I had to order it Tower Hobbies. I also; ordered the same power system as he did saving a good amount of dollars, should be under $200.

I will put up a "Build Log because there are a few things that should be identified since it's been available for for some time now. I'll start by saying that at the time of starting this post, I purchased the UPROAR V2 for $99 and went elsewhere for the Power System.

My Build Thread is HERE

Out to the hill today with a forecast of 12 to 13 mph and a 2 hour window of the correct wind direction .
On the way up I was greeted by 2 pairs of Red Tail Hawks cruising the slope and screeching theirs songs -a Good sign !
Once on top I was greeted with 15 gusting to around 20 -Yea !

Lately I have been on a mission to complete old projects and get my shop and bench cleared for some new ones, with today's the milder wind prediction I elected to bring out a little ship that had been collecting dust for way to long - A scratch built "Limit Ex " that I built in 2011 ...way Too long

The Limit went out first -it needed some up trim , and the aileron throws were "Very aggressive " she is a nimble little beastie
after about 5 minutes I brought her back in and programmed dual rates and a bit of expo - back out she still had a blinding roll with 60% throw but now comfortable .
Tooled around some more and brought her back in to move the battery back about 1/4 "
spot on - she flew flat in the gusts and the lulls ,flew for another 25 minutes , what neat little bird

After a brief rest I put the 1M Epee out - no surprises here ,I could elevator her up and out of sight or rip back and forth across the face of the hill
After 2hr's I was content to pack up and head back down the hill

Just finished this build today. Used this frame available on Armattan. 1-2s BetaFPV F4 FC, 0802 22,000kv ball bearing motors, NewBeeDrone AZI quad blade props, and a NewBeeDrone Goober canopy with an Inductrix AIO camera mounted in it.. This thing is a little ripper and handles great! Immediately became my favorite new micro for backyard and indoor flying.
