Hello good people.

My brother was in need of a reliable, good looking, sporty and most importantly, RELIABLE vehicle a few months ago and we looked and looked and we both got lucky right in our own area! A gentleman just purchased a new car and was trying to sell his 1995 Toyota Camry SE 3.0-Liter V-6, "2-Door"

Yes, the car's odometer read a little past 200,000 miles but, the advantages unlike buying it from a dealer (perhaps with this age and mileage, a Buy-Here-Pay-Here) was that your are asking the questions directly to the owner.

From what we learned from the owner and test driving the vehicle:

1. Engine felt strong but, at the lower RPMs, there was a miss-fire of sorts.
2. Hood Lift Struts (on each side) were dead, could not hold up the Hood.
3. Passenger Door window regulator was broken.
4. Leather Interior looked good except for driver's seat with the lumbar on one side cracked.
5. Rear console's Ashe Tray missing.
6. Very good brakes and tires.
7. Super Radio and after market speakers (3-way).
8. Full size spare tire.
9. Recent Battery.

We purchase the vehicle for a steal at $1250 cash AS-IS!

We went to work and teared down the TOP side of the Engine and found out why it was miss-firing. Some Gorilla hands mechanic that the previous owner took it to broke two Ignition Coil Connectors at the right side (The side most difficult to reach and closest to the Firewall of the vehicle). Another Connector was almost broken on the other side....Continue Reading

Yes, without any Engine Rebuilt job, my 1992 Toyota Camry XLE has reached 450,000 + Miles. I am 2nd owner and when I purchased it at 15,686 miles a dream come true and still handles and drives like a dream.

Best of all it has been extremely reliable.

Some more on the Camry......
