First remove the foam from the turtle deck area where the latch will be installed. Sand lightly to remove the glue and residual foam. -

I cut 3 pieces of cedar veneer sheets and glue them with thick CA. Thick CA does not cure instantly so you have plenty of time to glue all 3 sheets. -

Apply one last coat of thick CA and stick it to the balsa inside the fuselage. -
