What a great weekend for flying, summer time is here in the NorthWest. We could not have hand picked a better weekend for the Electric Goose. The first day was a free fly day, at one time I looked up and saw 7 or 8 planes up at the same time. I thought to myself we could sure use some traffic control here, no mid air collisions. I think we ended up with somewhere around 50 pilots or so. Our field was very busy.
Sunday we had some friendly games, first we did a ribbon cut, then we did touch and go's, and we also did a few rounds of combat. The dog fighting was a blast. I finaly got my first kill...I posted a few photos of the weekend enjoy....Continue Reading

Well yesterday was a busy day in the RC world for me. first off I fixed the Extra and flew it a couple of times, I noticed the wings will need a bit more work. The spars are made out of screen frame matt. and the big crash bent them. so I need to go back in and replace the spars other than that I am pleased with the craft... We were able to maiden the new trainer planes we made as well. They flew great, not a bunch of power, but plenty to fly. We put the planes through their paces, we did loops, rolls, and inverts they flot so nice...and are really fun to fly.
The last thing yesterday was kinda touching. One of my fellow club members dad passed away, and left him with all his old rc stuff. To make a long story short I now have a new bird in the hanger...it's a 10' glider, I don't know much about it yet but plan on going through it this winter, also he gave me two nitro motors a .19 and a .35 he wants me to use them. What a honer, I will try to find something special to do with em...well other than that, Our club decided to have another S.P.A.D. event this Sept, so it gives me an opp. to have combt with the spads. and maybe sell one or two.

What a great day... I loaded up my dog Benji and went out to Molalla Or. for the Masters Scale quiflier today, it was such a blast we met a lot of great people, and was able to spend some time with some really great pilots...just so happens my club buddy and his son were there and did a half time show for all the old timers, they flew their 700 heli and blew the croud away at the age of 11 years old he will sure go places with RC flying. I posted some pics of the day...enjoy all and all I saw some really nice aircraft today and was really impresed...I just love this hobby...oh I almost forgot don't forget The Electric Goose...http://www.electricgoose.com/...Continue Reading

Well it had to happen sometime...The big crash...I took the S.P.A.D. Extra to the field to try the 12x5 prop I picked up for the plane and man was that the ticket...It flew sooooo fine it was a screamer and not to mention fast as hell...I did 3 flights on it and was even able to do my first hover, I did it high so I could recover. man this plane rocks... on the third flight the plane went down...it got inverted on me and it was silowiting on me, due to the sun I pulled back when I should have pushed forward on the stick and down she went, when it hit the ground the motor and tank ended up 30 feet away from the craft, it hit HARD...all and all it was quite humbling to have my first crash, with so many people watching.

Well allright, I was able to get the Extra up in the air Sunday. It flew great, it was a bit nose heavy but I was able to trim her out and then she flew great...The landing was much more HOT than my trainer, wow what a blast..I will also need to play with the prop size, I ran a 13x5, but I think the 12x5 might work better. I will try it again soon...I posted some pics sorry about the quality,my wife took them...
