Well I just got my 4th Arrma Big Rock. This ones on the nice side so I'll be robbing the electronics from a piece of caca Big Rock that a former friend dumped off on me. More on that later. I'll part out the POS Big Rock and either keep the one I just got or sell. I'll prolly sell it since im already in the process of building another Big Rock with carbon fiber frame plates and etc.

I used to have approximately 5 new in box Snap On X Maxxes. Also had 3 Snap On M41 boats. Shortly after they sued Arrma I started selling everything Traxxas. I've now replaced the SO X Maxxes with nib Arrma Nero, Fazon & Big Rock. I've sold pretty much all of my Traxxas rigs and will NEVER buy anything new Traxxas again. They remind of grade school bullies, smh. I had enough of that.
I know it's sucked not being about to pick up one of those new Bronco trx4's, lol.

I like what I've read by a Bill DeLong. Traxxas is a Patent Troll. Theres no 2 ways about it.

Back to my Arrma Nero infactuation, lol. I'm up to 4 BR's, 3 Blue Neros, 3 Nero Fazons. I only want to keep one of each nib and my carbon fiber BR. So I figure $500 for each?

Back to the former friend. This piece of caca owed me $1150 from September to recently. I told him finally Id take rc rigs in trade and a $500 half lb. of cannabis. He fought with me, didn't want to finally agreeing.
Well the day came and he dropped the 2 rcs off at the front door and was gonna leave without saying anything. Those 2 rigs equal "maybe" $900. He done it cause I"m paralyzed and he can get away with it. I guarantee I would have knocked him on his FAT ass!

So I'm telling as many peeps as I can. Avoid doing deals with Stephen Fendley. At least get everything in writing!, smh.

I got this frame from a friend so I decided to make a hybrid drone. I already had the pixhawk from holybro so I thought I would try it.
This is as far as I have gotten so far. Anyone who may see this please tell me what you think and suggestion are welcomed.

I'm really getting disappointed with Graupner, they raise their prices and can't even release stable firmware updates for their radio. And more of an issue they don't seem interested in fixing the bugs they created. I reported this issue months ago and it's still not fixed.

Currently under construction in the works. Maxford 27% Gee Bee Model Y Senior Sportster , 97" WS,around 16 lb AUW if it goes right, Rimfire 50 CC motor, Zoar 22 x 8 prop, CC 165 amp ESC,12S 5000mah lipo,Hitec HS311 servos.

Build quality is average with the usual ARF construction. Scale fidelity is so-so especially the graphics which have been removed already. The 'pin stripe' was about 5 times too wide and should be about 1/8" . I tried the 1/8 " pinstripe but couldn't cover the zig zags in the red covering so went with 1/4'"stripe.

The registry numbers were too big, not straight and each number cocked off to multiple directions. New graphics are on order from Callie. The wing tube had to be sanded vigorously to get it to even come close to going into the fuselage tube. Supplied wheels are trash with axle bearings being off centre to each other and the tires have tons of runout.

Zero instructions were supplied but they are downloadable from Maxford. In typical Maxford fashion the build guide is vague and convoluted for lack of a better description. However she is big

She's definitely not a Henry Hafke grade model but she'll do.

I can 3D Print a new back cover for the 9XE with all the bell and whistles of the original, plus a removal module bay. It also has a slot for a JST connector, in case you are using a 3 Cell Lipo.

Can be made in any color....Continue Reading

The latest additions to the PSS fleet.
F18 from the Paul Janssens plans thanks to Maarten X. Flies well at 1.1kg but the maiden was in fairly big air & it was a big light. Flew half dozen flights while I gradually reduced nose weight until I get disoriented on landing approach & stuck it in pretty hard. Minimal damage & already repaired.
Build log here

The Lightning is converted from a Tony Nijhuis electric plan. All balsa & 23" span, 390g. Yet to fly.
No build log on this one.

The Black Project ....

Phenix 60 EDF'ed (1 min 48 sec)

This was a learning experience for sure .
In so many ways it was done wrong !

The little voice in my head said move the EDF further to CG , but the dumb dumb got in the last word . ( )
Now it takes a 1700mAh battery to get CG

I think the project was a bad idea from the start , it was never going to be anything but a brick .
But from the perspective of a learning experience ( getting schooled ) .
So the question now is = Will it fly ?
CG is about right , there is some thrust , but if only it was 100 grams lighter !

Bush League Modz

I have all these little quads and mini / micro DLG's now and I am getting lazy .
Getting out the hobby charger for every little battery ?
Oh man ! Just can't be bothered .

So in the wayback machine there was this little charger for 16340 - 10440 batteries that is USB .
And I remember it was a low current charger and I thought .. !!!!
Why not make a multi plug insert for the charger ( be 4.2v charger ) , so I can charge my little batteries ( 1s ) .

A) Components = Plastic lolly pop stick , bullet connectors and some leads / plugs for batteries .
B) Solder in place the leads to the bullet connectors ..
C) Glue the bullet connectors to your lolly pop stick ( cut to length )
D) tape it up and maybe colour code it .. ( Red for + , black for - )

And that's it ! A multi battery charger for small batteries that is bush league easy to do and use ..

For the 1st time, an ESC blew up from getting wet. All 3 PFETs blew up. They had been flown in rain, flown from wet fields, but never blew up before. Dunking in puddles finally got one wet enough to do the job. Potted it in aquarium sealer. It's not reworkable anymore.
