So for christmas i got some new gear for my Parkzone T28 FPV setup. firstly i got some Spektrum focal goggles to replace my antique FS Predators. also, i got a Runcam 2 (Great camera BTW, blows the Mobius out of the water) and a pan tilt mount. i installed the pan tilt and setup wireless head tracking with the Focals and my DX6. fortunately on the 27th we had fantastic winter weather, with 2-3 mph wind, frost and fairly clear blue skies with some pretty awesome clouds.

i took out the T28 for some FPV, and went to my go-to flying spot. hand launch was easy despite the extra weight of the pan tilt and Runcam 2. the T28 has a big wing and weighs much less than most warbirds stock so there is tons of room for extra weight without causing the plane to develop ugly characteristics. i went 'under the hood' and was immediately hit by how nice the run cam and Focals looked after using FS Predators and a Mobius for all my previous flights. i flew for 7 mins and had a blast. here is the flight footage:

Unfortunately, as i was flying further out than i had ever done before due to the added confidence of the calm weather and the head tracker meaning i could see more, and this lead to lots of drop outs and interference as i still use 25mw. however, the setup other than that worked flawlessly for the whole flight. the T28 is, IMO, the best scale FPV platform as it is so stable, very easy to fly, has tone of room in the cockpit and battery/servo compartment, and also can have a lot of weight added without becoming too heavy to be fun to fly.

This is just a compilation of clips from the IWM Duxford Airshow 2016 back in september. apologies for the shaky video at some points. this is due to my lenses optical stabilisation struggling to deal with the rapid movement, however f i turned it off the shaking would be even worse as most of this was flimed at over 200mm zoom. This was my first airshow with a DSLR and only airshow this year so hopefully i havent done too badly.

So last weekend i flawy parkzone t28 fpv for the first time in months, and the first full successful time. the plane had a Mobius and fatshark 25mw VTX. the mobius worked well with not any noticeable latency at 720P, although with only a 25mw VTX i had to keep the plane pretty close in. I had little 5g servo for a pan servo, with 3 positions (left, middle, right). i laos had a pilots arm on a y harness with the ailerons but i didn't plug it i as i was worried about putting too much strain on the BEC. all in all the flight went pretty well, although i had a few close calls and it was a little windy and nose heavy. Weirdly i started the flight facing West and ended facing east!

This is my review of the fatshark predator v2 fpv set, and my thoughts on it:
Fatshark Predator V2 FPV Goggles Review (9 min 51 sec)

this is a great value set, which contains some very premium items at a good price, and is perfect for those wanting to get started in fpv without soldering or trying to match components together.
