Howdy people

something very different this time on my channel / on my blog
A Helicopter! :O It has been years since I last flew one.. So let's see if I can keep one in the air :P

I have flown an Esky heli a while back (the E300 v2) and like that one this new 150EC is a nice looking scale heli.

It is also not a 3D heli.. it's quite simple and aimed towards people starting out with heli's...

Halloa people,

sooo a digital microscope huh? Is that RC related? Probably not for all parts of the hobby but if you do a lot of soldering (assembling racing drones for instance) it can be a great tool.
And I have been looking for one for years.. Most of the ones I came across were 1080P with screens that looked to small.. Plus I had friends tell me those were no good..

This month however I was contacted by Endonstar to review one for them. So yep.. I got this one for free.. just so you know..
The below video shows what you would receive.. how it goed together, and my thoughts on this not-so-cheap Digital Microscope

Halloa people,

so if you have, or are considering, a modern Frsky Tandem radio with the Ethos operating system this video should interest you (I think :P)

These radio's have module-bays but adding ELRS or Crossfire modules to these radio's can leave you scratching your head, wondering how to get things working!

So.. here is a simple how-to video which will show you how to get thing going!

Add ELRS & CrossFire To FrSky Tandem X18 / X20 (Ethos Radio's) (14 min 44 sec)

Might also be interesting just to see if it would be something you could do....

Hi there (FPV) people

so I've been building FPV quads for several years now, and I'm not telling you new things when I say things have gotten "a bit" more expensive of late
That is partly because digital setups cost more and the entire Covid / chips-shartage (and some other factors as well)..

Time to see if a less expensive build makes for a fun quad then!

First a close look at the T-motor stack I'll be using as it was a bargain.. It's gotten more expensive sinds I made the video so be on the lookout for deals on this...

Affordable from T-motor???? Budget Freestyle F7 stack :) (15 min 56 sec)

Parts used for the build (no aff. links):

Howdy people,

a couple of months ago I used Aikon electronics for the first time in a quad (the Catalyst Machineworks Whoopmaster 4).. I build me a 5" freestyle quad with an Aikon stack after that and so-far so good!
Then I came across this new frame from Aikon: their Hex35 cinewhoop.. Interesting!

So I am basically going to build the BNF version of that quad that you can find at Banggood.. Strange to see that BNF isn't on Aikon site (?)
*edit* later on the BNF version disappeared from BG.. Not sure what that's about..

Anyway! Let's first have a look at the frame itself...
Also feel free to add Your experiences with this quad here

Halloa

So yes I think 7" quads are a bit of a niche within a niche and 5" quads are more popular for several reasons.. If you do like higher speed cruisers though, or want a quad that can carry a bigger battery.. 7" quads are great platforms

So Foxeer markets this Aura 7 as a long range drone.. Does "long range" really sell that well? I really don't know BUT I wanted to see if it is also an exciting quad to fly...

Link to it: https://www.foxeer.com/foxeer-aura-7...a-hdzero-g-465

And here is my review of it:

Hi there people..

I recently did a series of video's on this Elegoo printer.. as the brand was new to me I wanted to see how polisched the setup procedure of this brand's printers is..
And maybe you are wondering if this brand is even wurth a look... I think they are though I have no steak in it..

Setup Procedure for the Elegoo Neptune 3 MAX 3D Printer! (16 min 3 sec)

Hi there people,

I have so far only had Creality printers but came across the Neptune printers from Elegoo.. They actually look similar in specs to the S1 (pro) but with a more sophisticated level-sensor..

So I got one in to see what those are about!

Ofcourse feel free to add your questions / experiences.

For now here is a first look to see what you get and how it's shipped:

Howdy people

so eventhough it's winter over here (well maybe Because of that :P) I'm building me a brand new FPV quadro here...
Got me a really nice Catalyst Machineworks frame and good T-motor F60 Pro V's for it...

To mix things up a bit I thought I should try a 20x20 (so small stack for heavy quad) stack from Mamba this time
I've had very good luck with the Diatone / Mamba stacks...

Let's see how this works out!

Howdy people,

so I got me the HDzero version of Fsky's X20 radio in a few weeks back and I must say it's not easy to test that setup in a video as the radio doesn't record incoming HDzero video...

Gave it a shot though!

Hi there people,

the video below is mostly a vlog in which I test if the Tandem X20 radio is at all a suitable radio for FPV drone flying.. I wanted to know for myself as I receltly got rid of my multi-protocol radio... I now have a handfull of quads with Frsky receivers in it sooo.....

Apart from that I think people that fly RC planes with the Tandem radio's might sometimes wonder if they can try FPV flying with a slightly lower investment upfront by using their Tandem radio...

so here we go

Howdy guys,

soooooo yep.. Foxeer recently released this 2500mW VTX.. Impressive! Or is it? At least that output power spec is impressive I guess.. But does it deliver??

Also: do my tests actually make any sense?? Your imput will be appreciated!

So... here are my tests & findings:

Hi there people

yes I know.. RTF means someting else then what you will receive from Foxeer :P I have tried to explain RTF means to them, but it didn't take :P hahaha
Okee.. so they will be shipping a BNF or PNF drone to you...

Other then that: I have been flying the Aura 5 frames for about a year now and I have not found a better replacement (which isn't twice the price).. so for me these are the perfect send-and-smash drones...

BUT.. Foxeer isn't a budget brand.. especially their stacks are Good, but also NOT cheap... So the enite Aura 5 quad, isn't a bargain....

First video on the quad is a parts overview:

Hi there RC people..

sooooo I'll be honest: Frsky getting into HDzero was the last things I expected! Until I saw someone mention "HDzero" in a discusion about this upcoming radio.. And the rest is history I guess

I got me my X20 HD in last week, and I'll start this thread with a first look at the radio
Also a bit of a side-by-side with the non HD version as I now have both...
And my thought on the step into HDzero by Frsyk (which surpriced me I must say)

Next thing we know Frsky will be making ELRS things oeps wait.. they already do :$

Halloa people,

review time! Today a short video on CMW's BIG 4" cinematic Whoop frame. It for sure looks complex at a first glance..
Is it actually? Is it hard to build maybe? Fit & finish??

Let's have a look

Halloa people,

over here in DutchRC land an upgrade / update of my 3D printer was long overdue. I have had the original Ender-3 for 4 years, and eventhough it still worked perfectly I wanted to invest in better prints + a better user-experience.

And in case you are not familiar with them yet:
Ender-3 S1 & S1 Pro are new 2022 printers. They aren't mere updates to the previous version(s).. The S1 & S1 pro are a less budget oriented version.

At the time I'm writing this I just received the printer so I don't have a lot of experience with it Yet.. I will expand this SP as time goes on.

Let's start with an unboxing!

Creality Ender-3 S1 Pro - Flagship Printer UNBOXING ! (10 min 54 sec)

Main features compared to the Ender-3 V2:
  • Flexible magnatic print surface
  • Direct drive print head (non bowden)
  • Semi automatic bed leveling
  • Fillament sensor

Hi there RC people,

so up this point it was all fun & games on my YT channel but things are gonna get more serious now. There are cinematic drones and cinematic drones..
This series is about one that leans more towards professional use.
That does Not mean it can carry a Red camera, so no Holliwood productions this time :P

I'll be doing several video's on this drone where the first one is a detailed frame-build-how-to.. In case you ordered this frame or when you simply want to know how complicated the build is
