Just about finished a Sureflite Cub. A little nostalgia for me. Min first built one 35 Years ago. Powered it with an OS Max .25. Made my first really successful RC flight with it. The flight was successful. The landing, not so much. Hit the only structure on the field. A red brick equipment she'd. Not something one would walk away from.
I can clearly remember the sudden silence...

Anyway, got this kit at a great price off the classifieds. With floats!

I glassed the floats with 1oz. cloth. Covered with cub yellow (what else?) econokote. Actually the one 35 years ago was painted with Hazel Sig esq "sunbursts" in light blue and dark blue.
I added ailerons. Made from balsa sheet sanded to section. A servo on each so I've got nice big flaperons.
This one was to be powered with a Hacker A30-12XL I have but that's too much motor so I'm expecting an OS Max .25 brushless electric motor. Should be perfect with a 10 inch prop.

Came pretty good for a quick winter project.
Will have to get better pics when (if???) the weather ever improves.
