Yesterday I was able to get out and get in a little stick time with my F4F Wildcat and I happened to get it on video too.

Enjoy!

I wish someone had laid my RC options to me out like this before I made any purchases. I would have done things much differently had I known what I know now.

Take this advice for what it is worth and make the best choices for you. This is just my version of a simplified look at RC in 2013.

RC Planes:

This is the plane that I suggest you start off with. It is only $89 for everything you need and it stays fun for a long time. The best part is that you don't need a big area to fly it in and it is very easy to transport: http://www.horizonhobby.com/products/champ-rtf-HBZ4900

Here is an example of me flying mine in the wind:

There are other trainers out there, but this is the least expensive and best way to learn IMHO due to its price and light weight. Less mass means less destructive damage. It does mean that it will get blown around in the wind more than a larger plane, but no planes should be flown in the wind by a beginner anyhow. I do suggest flying only over grass during your first few flights in a wide open area. The grass is far more forgiving than pavement is when you crash and if the area is wide open, there is no chance to crash into a tree if it gets away from you.

Here is the best aileron trainer to learn on IMHO. It is $99 and works with the controller that comes with the trainer plane. It also looks insanely cool in person during low passes. It looks very realistic in the air and is a...Continue Reading

Here are two of my flying buddies and me messing around with their Quadcopter and Tri-Copters at our flying field. Both are fun to watch fly and they each can take video in flight with on-board FPV equipment for FPV flying.

So I finally got my Champ on video. It was pretty windy, so of course there are bloopers at the end of the video that reflect this lol

PS: This is the very Champ that I took up over 1,000 in the air.

After a camera malfunction during the maiden, all is well in GBLynden's RC world now that he has footage of himself flying his brand new Ultra Micro Stryker!

I am very excited about the flight I got in today with my Parkzone F4F Wildcat. It flies so nice and is pretty fast. I am surprised this plane isn't more popular as it is very inexpensive and flies so well.

Enjoy!

I can't say enough good things about this hobby and that applies even more when I can get a great plane on sale. I decided to do an unboxing review of the Parkzone Ultra Micro Stryker.

Have a look at my take on the plane including footage of the maiden flight:

First off I did not try to crash this. It has always been a slippery little aircraft, so I decided to go the comedy route to make an entertaining video instead of getting mad lol

I did a review of the Losi 1/36 Micro Desert Truck. The idea was to explain the details of this $89 RTR vehicle to folks new to the hobby or micro cars in general since there is very little mention of this awesome little treat on this site.

Enjoy!

So I took my jet out today just as the sun was starting to go down. This kicked up the wind and you will see what happened next:
