This is my tribute to my good friend RWCloud that has really helped and taught me a lot. Not to mention gave me the plane that is the focus of this entry in my Blog.

This is his F4D Skyray that he build 80-90% of (the hard stuff) that was inspired by CorsairNut and AirSally's fords. I merely finished the glass work and the final details. The following posts will be the steps I went through and the trails along the way. Please bare with me as this is a work in progress entry.

Here is a sort of collage of planes I have owned over the last 2 years that have moved on to new owners. These were some fun planes that had to make way for the newer ones.

Well I know I have popped up in various threads showing the latest and greatest birds coming out and many have been in the larger 80-90mm range. But to be honest although I know I need to probably start in that area to work up......I am itching to build a biggie. Talking 100-120mm size. Maybe its over confidence in my abilities as a pilot . But I really want something big as I think I can handle it. Plus lets face it the good ole addage holds true, "bigger flies better".

Anyhow wondering what some would consider a good intro into the larger end of things?

Well I cant believe that the oldest bird in my fleet has not been put in my blog . Well its time to put just a short ditty in here for it. I got her the January after GWS released it. It has been in my fleet ever since, Yes the same single airframe I initially bought. She has served well as a test bed for various power systems for other aircraft ranging from a 66mm putting out 400W fan all the way up to a 76mm fan setup pushing over 2Kw. The plane flew great throughout the spectrum. Weighing in as little as just under 40oz to as much as 73oz. Again flying qualities were awesome. As far as I am concerned one of the best GWS has made. Here is my newest addition to the fleet. She is a biggie for a 70mm bird. She is still under construction at this point. Stock power set is out as I like a little more power than the 600W the stock system provides for the size of this bird. 800-900W is more the groove for this bird to fly the way I would like. Upgrade will be my usual Turnigy 60A Plush and 6904/2W-20. More to come.

Here is my new GreatPlanes L-39. But this one is not even close to stock. Its a speedy little rocket.

Setup:
Stock Hyperflow fan
Exceed RC 5000Kv motor
Turnigy Trust 45A
3 HXT 900 servo's
Battery on maiden: 3S 1600mah 20C. But currently parked awaiting new packs as 20C is not cutting it.

Well this is my old SAPAC EuroFighter. I say old as it now has a new owner and continues to tear up the sky in a different part of the Valley where I live. The build started as a redeemer plane for my departed X-Flight EuroFighter that was a dismal failure. Then the build took on a life of its own and received quite a bit of detail...well at least for me. Below is the setup she is STILL flying on over a year later, pics and vid. Enjoy.

Setup:
SAPAC 64mm Fan
SAPAC 4000Kv Black Tornado (V-1 motor)
Turnigy 60A Plush ESC
XPS 4S 2200 30C Batt

New EuroFighter (4 min 9 sec)

These are my biggest flying birds at the moment. FreeWing SU-34 and EFlite F-15.

The FreeWing SU-34 is stock and is just under 1:1 thrust. Only 2 departures from the stock setup is the Turnigy/FlightMax 4S 5000 30C batts and the C/F spars I added to handle the weight of the large pack.

The EFlite F-15 is in no way stock. Sports 2 SAPAC 64mm units, 2 4000Kv outrunners, 2 Turnigy 60A Plush ESC, EFlite Servo Less Retracts, and Turnigy 4S 4000 30C Batt. This plane has now moved on to a new owner as she was recently sold.

Both of these fly awesome and are real head turners.
