Finally completed legs, protection and antennae placement for the 310 carbonecks frame.

Designed for 8 inch props, this machine weighs in at 410g without battery.

built to the lightest sepecification, all soldered connections, and a new extremely lightweight carbon composite frame. This machine is amaziingly fast with a 3S battery. Stick a 4S battery on for some unbelievable fun.

All the necessary files are in this Dropbox folder including the 2.4 GUI.

The 2.4 firmware for the gimbal is in the firmware folder.

The profile with all the settings is in the profile folder:

carbonecks 390 // DYS 3 axis GoPro gimbal (1 min 31 sec)

EW carbonecks 310mm.

This is the lightest frame out there at this size.

Made from a custom made carbon composite just for ecksframe. This composite is pure carbonfibre with a vibration dampening core.

3mm thick
extremely rigid and strong

If you want to build the lightest, fastest, strongest machine, then you need this frame.

Updated version:

New prototype of 550mm Full Carbon Fibre quadcopter, excuse the cutting, the little notchs will be corrected on future frames

I've never liked tube clamps but have found some that will not let the tube turn under any pressure, there are 2 rubber O rings in the clamp that:

A: Grab onto the tube
B: Add dampening from the motors

This frame is rock solid, I will be moving a few screw holes in future frames though.

Size: 550mm Motor ro Motor, with a little tube sticking over to protect the motors, You want a smaller quad? Just get the hacksaw out.

Weight 120g including screws and clamps, Ive never used aluminium screws before and these weigh next to nothing. I still need to cut off 15mm from each screw so weigh will be less.

Usuall holes, Nanowii and of course KK2, esc fit in the frame, with PMU if using NAZA. I will also be adding another top plate for a naza GPS, also legs for a gimbal.

Hi Guys, Im in the process of designing an "ecks AP Module" for this frame, Made fully in carbon fibre, It will easily allow placement of naza equipment, and also allow room for a 2 axis brushless gimbal for Go Pro underneath.

The plate is also designed to carry 2 1600 batteries, one on each side of the gimbal.

I love the ecks for filming, Great speed and hardly any vibrations. But this will make perfect videos, especially with a dampened gimbal such as the Tarot 2D.

the Module will simply screw into the holes designed for a KK2.

Im feeling the need for a new hex design. I want the lightest possible strong frame, so this will be pure CF. 550 diameter for 10 inch props.

This will make for a perfect machine to lift a small camera and brushless gimbal.

More info coming soon.

Due to the recent destruction of my hex. I have salvaged the motors, esc's and props and will be making a 495mm ecks frame. I cannot imagine this will be as strong as the ecks (in fact no way jõse). But it should be a fun acrobatic experience at the least.

Each motor creates 1.6kg of thrust, and total weight should be around 1.3kg with 2650 battery.

Prop size will be 13"inch and im using KK2.

I will be shortening the wires, this was the length they were on the hex

Here is my new 800 scratchbuilt. On the arial video I enabled stabilise through youtube, there is absolutly no vibration with this gimbal hardmounted to the frame (no dampers) but my choice of 3mm aluminium for the gimbal arms was a bit off, on turns the arms flexed and wobbled. So im in the process of making some new 6 mm aluminium arms.
